I highly recommend Dr. Finkelstein. She's one of the hard to find doctors who's very knowledgeable and also genuinely cares about her patients.
I went to Dr. Finkelstein for balance tests (inner ear issue). She explained what she was doing for every test and told me what I could expect. If at any point I was uncomfortable, I was able to stop the tests. She even held my arm to reassure me that I was safe during one of the tests that purposely induced dizziness.
I unfortunately had a bad reaction to one of the balance tests because I thought I could handle it (I was very wrong). I experienced an anxiety attack for the first time in my life. Dr. Finkelstein brought in an RN, and together they stayed with me for probably half an hour or more. They talked me through the terrifying experience until I was able to control my body again and walk on my own. She even asked her staff to sit with me and walk out to the curb with me to catch a cab! It was clear she understood the challenges her patients experience. It's hard to find an empathetic doctor like Dr. Finkelstein, and I'm happy she's my audiologist.
