He's very honest, knowledgeable, funny, and easy to talk to! I feel that he gave me excellent and trustworthy advice about my condition and didn't recommend any sort of unnecessary procedures, as I feel previous doctors have. There is a wait, but I generally expect this when I go to the doctor. Staff is professional and courteous. Facility is clean. Overall great experience and highly recommended!

Dr. Ascher is the founder and Director of the Vascular Institute of New York and chief of vascular surgery at Lutheran Medical Center, in Brooklyn, NY. Prior to this, he was the Chairman of the Vascular Division and Director of the ACGME accredited Vascular Fellowship Program at Maimonides Medical Center, in Brooklyn, NY, one of the largest vascular centers in the United States, as well as Professor of Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical School, New York, NY.
Dr. Ascher is past President of the International Society for Vascular Surgery. He is past president of the Society for Vascular Surgery, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, Eastern Vascular Society and New York Cardiovascular Society.
In addition, he is a member of the American Surgical Association, and a Co-Chairman of the VEITHsymposium, one of the most prestigious vascular conferences in the United States.
Dr. Ascher is the founder of the Pan American Congress on Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, which provides a bi-annual forum for surgeons and interventionalists from South America, Central America and North America. He also created the Vascular Fellows Competition, serving as its director for over 25 years.
A frequent lecturer to professional societies and medical school faculties throughout the world, Dr. Ascher is engaged in uniting the specialty of vascular surgery and expanding its frontiers. Currently, he and his team are developing less invasive alternatives to perform balloon angioplasties and stenting, using ultrasound-guided techniques.
Dr. Ascher continues to be involved with the Society for Vascular Surgery. He founded and is currently the President Elect of the Association of Chairs in Vascular Surgery, an organization devoted to helping leaders in vascular surgery develop new strategies

Long wait time. Too many patients, office in total disarray. Nurses not in sync with the doctors! Had 2 different nurses come in to take my complaints an hour apart, not knowing that someone else spoke to me! Also, very obnoxious secretary.

Staff greeting was not warm or pleasant, but once I was treated everyone was nice and professional. My appointment was at 8am, but I didn't see the doctor till after 10am.

Dr. Ascher, once I actually saw him, was knowledgeable and compassionate. His nurses and technicians were extremely professional and I trust the diagnosis they reached. I was also, initially, impressed that he offered weekend appointments and could perform many of the diagnostic tests right in his own office.
My complaint is that the staff CLEARLY overbooks patients to dire extremes. I arrived early as I was a new patient and knew there would be paperwork involved. About 15 minutes later I was taken to a room to discuss my medical history with one of the nurses and take vitals. This appeared to be a great start. Then back to the main waiting room - for OVER AN HOUR - before I had my diagnostic test. Then, back to the main waiting room for ANOTHER 90 MINUTES before I met with Dr. Ascher to review the results. Although I would like to explore the treatment options discussed with Dr. Ascher, I have not returned to this office as I simply can't devote an entire day to what should be a simple, routine appointment.

What a great experience. Everyone were so professional and nice. Not the kind of treatment that I learned to expect from most clinics.
I got in, the receptionist registered me for a couple of minutes, then the nurse asked about my medical history, and about 15 minutes after I arrived I was already doing a sonogram. After that I met with the doctor, who explained very patiently what are the treatment options, procedures and timelines.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
