Dr. Kessous completed his sports medicine training at Harvard Medical School's Children's Hospital, in Boston.
Dr. Kessous received his medical degree from St. George's University in 1999. He then completed a surgical internship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. After three years as a general and orthopedic surgery resident at Tel Aviv Medical Center, he returned to Boston to complete a family medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center.
During his sports medicine fellowship, Dr. Kessous was responsible for preventing, diagnosing and treating injuries for Boston Ballet dancers and Northeastern University athletic teams. In addition, Dr. Kessous has worked with various sporting events, including the Boston Marathon and the AT&T USA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Dr. Kessous is board certified in both family and sports medicine.
His main practice site is Montgomery Sports Medicine Center. He also practices at Metro Orthopedics and Sports Therapy in downtown Silver Spring. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Kessous is an appointed clinical assistant professor at Georgetown University Medical School. He teaches sports medicine and musculoskeletal workshops to medical residents and students.
Dr. Kessous has recently become an official team physician for DC United, the area's professional men's soccer team. …
