Dr. Eric Donnenfeld is a nationally recognized LASIK eye surgeon and a founding partner of Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island (OCLI) and Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut (OCC). He has more than 20 years of experience and is frequently asked to train other eye surgeons on the latest surgical techniques and technologies. Dr. Donnenfeld has successfully performed more than 55,000 refractive surgery procedures, including more than 2,000 on other doctors and their family members.
Dr. Donnenfeld has participated in more than 40 FDA studies. He was involved in the FDA studies that led to the approval of the excimer laser technology for laser-guided vision correction surgery. In addition, he is on the Advisory Board of all three major excimer laser manufacturers and has patented four surgical instruments.
