Dr. Erin Robles-Sherman is a graduate of one of the largest and well-recognized podiatric residencies in the Mid-Atlantic region. She completed her doctorate at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and went on to complete her residency training at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Her vast experience and medical training, as well as being a former dancer, cheerleader, and competitive gymnast has well prepared her for various foot and ankle care, in and out of the operating room, including treatment of sports injuries. She does CrossFit for exercise. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Microbiology and Molecular Biology and is originally from Parkland, Florida, where her family still resides. She is a new board member with the DC Podiatric Medical Association (DCPMA), a component of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) She also sits on a national committee for APMA. She is currently the Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic region of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), as well as a national committee member for the organization. She continues to help train the current MedStar residents and sits on the Residency Education Committee for the residency program. She has particular interests in trauma and sports medicine. She volunteers for the medical tents at local long distance races and lends her medical expertise to local running groups and coaches.
