“This was my first experience of a podiatrist. My problem of toe nail fungus was pretty straightforward. There were two medications the doctor could prescribe. The better one was not covered by insurance. We went with the lesser one, which she said was possible to work. I have a follow up session in three months and we should know by then if it's working. I didn't realize that the medication would be so expensive. It's covered by my insurance, but it will need to be refilled - maybe even before November. The doctor's prescription includes refills.”

About Dr. Olivia Hammond
Dr. Olivia Hammond earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Hammond went on to complete her 3-year surgical residency training at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in northern Virginia, one of the most prestigious podiatric surgical programs in the country. While there, she served as chief resident and performed over 2,000 procedures and gained vast experience in all areas of foot and ankle surgery. She has a special interest in sports medicine, flatfoot reconstruction, foot and ankle trauma, and arthritis. She also has specialized training in arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques.
Whether it is conservative care or surgical intervention, Dr. Hammond strives to deliver personalized and compassionate care. She understands the importance of tailoring medical care to the individual. She will work with you to coordinate the best treatment plan, supported by the latest technology and evidence-based medicine.

I made the appointment for one foot, but she did xrays and found bigger issues in my other foot. Treating both feet now, and it is going very well. She explains everything in detail and even helps show how to place certain orthotics in shoes for various support assistance.

My only neutral experience was the incredible duplication of effort in making the appointment. Perhaps the office has too many efforts to make a false appointment, but I had to navigate two separate pin calls before i could begin making an appointment, and then had multiple emails referencing the appointment. Responding to these inquiries led to a lot of wasted, duplicate effort.
