Erna Milunka Kojic, MD, is the Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West. She joined Mount Sinai in 2016 from Brown University in Providence where she was the Medical Director of the Outpatient Infectious Disease Clinic and was in charge of developing a program for Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. Along with her education listed below, she also completed a second fellowship in Research and HIV/AIDS at Brown Medical School and has completed a Physician Leadership Academy Certificate Program from Bryant University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Kojic is a prolific researcher in the area of Human Papillomavirus and HIV co-infection and has participated in multiple national and international trials. She is the author of a numerous of peer-reviewed journal abstracts and is a published book and chapter author. She is also the manuscript reviewer for the American Journal of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene, AIDS Reader, Infections in Medicine, International Journal of Infectious Diseases, Journal of Women’s Health, International Journal of STD & AIDS, Journal of Medical Virology, Annals of Internal Medicine, and Journal of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndromes, among others. She is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for The Open Vaccine Journal and Editorial Board Member of ISRN Virology, and many others. Dr. Kojic has received numerous teaching awards while working at Brown and has been actively incolved in training students, medical residents and infectious disease fellows. She is also a member of several national committees including Infectious Diseases Society of America, Rhode Island Medical Society and American Medical Association.
