Dr. Einstein received his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College and also completed a Master's in Public Health there, driven by his interest in advocacy and mental health policy work. He completed an internship in Adult Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University before finishing his adult psychiatry residency training at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine. His residency included clinical experiences across multiple practice settings, including public, private, state, and federal institutions. Dr. Einstein has treated patients within NYU's hospital system as well as Bellevue Hospital Center, the Manhattan VA Hospital, Kirby Forensic Hospital, and NYU Wellness and Counseling Services.
During his training, Dr. Einstein served as Chief Resident and mentored medical students and residents. He has developed a compassionate, warm, holistic, and straightforward approach to mental healthcare. His expertise includes treating a wide range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive traits and disorder, limiting personality traits and challenges, life transitions and adjustments, relationship and romantic challenges, stress, trauma, grief, substance use, performance issues, and psychosis.
