Dr. Evan Lichtenauer is an award-winning and leading chiropractor in Northern Virginia, specializing in the most advanced technology and techniques in the industry. Dr. Lichtenauer founded Empower Chiropractic in 2018 along with his wife, Dr. Callan Lichtenauer, and have since grown the practice to be one of the largest in the region.
Dr. Evan Lichtenauer is a licensed chiropractor in the state of Virginia and is Board Certified in Neuropathy by the American College of Physical Medicine.
Through cutting-edge chiropractic techniques, Dr Lichtenauer helps with everything from back and neck pain, headaches/migraines, neuropathy, and anxiety/depression. Our approach is extremely gentle and specific, allowing us to realign the spine without heavy twisting, cracking, or popping adjustments.

Dr. Evan grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, and always knew he wanted to dedicate his life to helping others. As a kid, he was engaged in multiple sports, eventually playing on the ice hockey team for his alma mater, the University of Maryland.
The many years of sports eventually took a toll on his body, leading Dr. Evan to see a chiropractor for low back pain. He saw great results with his back pain, but noticed his seasonal allergies went away, as well. It was then that he learned about the body’s incredible ability to heal itself and was inspired to become a chiropractor.
He graduated from Maryland with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology, then immediately moved to Georgia to attend chiropractic school at Life University. After four years at Life, he graduated with honors and won the prestigious Leadership Award.
Outside of the office, Dr. Evan enjoys playing hockey and golf, rooting for the Washington Capitals, and spending time with family.

I visited the Chiropractor expecting to get an adjustment or anything to relieve the pain, but a nurse made me go through a spine reading exam. The doctor then came in for 2 minutes and confirmed that I am indeed in pain after looking at the readings. He did not offer to help but told me that I need to do an x-ray and come back to discuss the results and start the treatment. When I came back the next day, I was greeted by the nurse and she went over my x-ray results and then explained that I can only start treatment if I pre-pay for sessions or sign up for a monthly plan.
This reminded me of timeshare sales presentations. I do not know if the doctor is any good but I do know I lost a lot of valuable time attending this sales presentation while in pain.

I always have a good experience when I come here. The staff is extremely friendly, its a relaxing atmosphere with the music & makes you forget you're in a Drs office. Dr Evan & Callen are very attentive & always eem to have the right adjustments. My neck even shifted 100 & this method is amazing! Even have an office pug names Steven! Love you guys!!

I enjoyed my first visit at Empower. I've been to other chiropractors before and this was way different. The assessment was cool to see where my problem areas are and the adjustment didn't hurt at all.

I feel much better after adjustment. My work requires me to sit for long hours, that hurts my back. I use to have pain in my lower back but after starting my sessions with Empower over a year ago, I feel much better now and can work without pain.
