Dr. Shammout is originally from Syria, he was born to an OB/GYN mother and witnessed how remarkable it was to help a lot of women and have a direct impact on their lives. He has been practicing for 9 years and coming to San Ramon to stay close to most of his family in the Bay Area. Dr. Shammout is excited to provide the best care and be part of this community.
He believes in empowering women at all stages of their life with the most evidence based medicine to make the right decision at the right time. With an excellent training and extraordinary bedside manner Dr. Shammout is always willing to go far and beyond to take care of his patients.

Amazing doctor. He spent good amount of time explaining what he will do and listened to my concerns and answered questions with patience and professionally. I heard great things about Dr Shamout but my experience seeing him was way beyond my expectation. office was very organized and clean. Wait time was short and everyone was so nice there.

Dr. Shammout was very patient and kind listening to my concerns. I was very nervous going to a male doctor for female health, but he was understanding and worked with my anxiety. He took steps to ensure that I was comfortable, and talked me through the more uncomfortable parts of the exam. He listened very well and I did not feel rushed or misunderstood whatsoever, even when I brought up some concerns not extremely relevant to the appointment type. I would highly recommend Dr. Shammout to everyone, as this was the best OBGYN experience I have ever had (no exaggeration)!!

Dr. Shammout is very efficient, personable and attentive. He didn't keep me waiting, he explained every step of his procedures, he was thorough, friendly and personable.
All the procedures were digital, therefore not redundant (e.g., didn't have to provide my insurance card more than once, didn't have to fill out multiple rounds of paperwork). I loved all the digital reminders of my appointment. They even called when they had an earlier cancellation. It's a very well run office.

I had a missed miscarriage and the entire team took such great care of me. From the excitement of the first ultrasound, to the sadness of the second without a heart beat. Dr. Shammout is the first male provider I entrusted my care to and I am so glad I did. He is kind, warm, compassionate, very knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond for his patient’s well-being. I wish I would have found him sooner.
