Dr. Ozbay was incredibly patient with me. He really took the time to listen to all my concerns and walk me through the available treatment options. I highly recommend him for anyone seeking quality care in the city, especially those who have tried multiple treatments in the past without much relief. I'd also add that his E-consult service is very convenient and easy to use, I wish other offices also had a similar service available for initial appointments.

Excellent, super knowledgeable doctor. He is easy to talk to and pays close attention to what I have to say. He really cares about his patients and wants what's best for them. You should know that my first appointment with him was long. I was there for nearly 3 hrs. There were a couple of short breaks though which helped. So be prepared for that if you see him.

I completed my residency in Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, where I participated in some of the earliest studies on ketamine, and earned a Master in Health Care Management from Harvard School of Public Health. A recipient of the NARSAD Young Investigator award, I have published my research on neurobiology of psychiatric disorders in several peer-reviewed academic journals. Prior to founding Ketafuze, I served on the faculty at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in various roles, including as the Medical Director of the World Trade Center Mental Health Program. As an internationally recognized expert on PTSD, I gave briefings to government delegations from Republic of Korea and Australia.
My practice is dedicated to translating scientific evidence to patient care and bringing you cutting-edge treatments. I offer 1) ketamine infusion treatment for depression; 2) general psychiatric medication management; and 3) psychotherapy for mood and anxiety disorders.
My approach to the ethical use of ketamine acknowledges all the potential benefits and the limitations of this treatment. While prescribing psychiatric medication, I follow the “fewest number of medications at the lowest effective doses” principle. As an expert therapist I use cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic techniques in the service of helping patients achieve their goals.
