“Gastroenterology allows me to combine my interests in long-term and short-term patient care relationships, preventive medicine, performing procedures and conducting clinical research. Treating patients with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are the diseases in this field that I find most compelling. Each patient is unique and a challenge. I try to know my patients as individuals, and this allows me the ability to understand their symptoms more clearly. When patients feel reassured that someone is listening to their complaints and taking them seriously, they feel validated and protected. I most enjoy being able to positively contribute to a patient’s health. I love when they feel better based upon care that I have provided.”

Dr. Mirsky is the BEST gastro on Long Island. When I go to her office I feel like I am talking to an old friend. She is so friendly, personable and takes a real interest in her patients. I have referred friends and family members to her and they all feel the same. I highly recommend her!!!
