Well, I was in a lot of pain for a couple of weeks and before leaving the office I wasn't anymore. I'm glad I was able to get in to see Dr. Colabella. He was great. Aside from taking care of my immediate issue, he explained some long-term treatment and alternatives I can consider. Needless to say, I will definitely be going back to Dr. Colabella for any foot problems I have. So if you have a foot problem Dr. Colabella is the one to see.

Excellent. I appreciated that Dr. Colabella took the time to explain why I was still having issues and how it can be remedied. I was able to get immediate relief with the treatment he gave me on the spot. I am going back for another treatment and will continue to see Dr. Colabella for my foot/ankle problems in the future. Short wait time, but I would not recommend this person.
I went in because of chronic pain at the ball of my foot. All he did was look at my foot, felt it around and said I needed custom insoles and needed to stay off my foot--impossible in NYC.
Did little more than push custom insoles. I went to another podiatrist who saw that I had stress fractures and had me wear a moon boot to immobilize/offload weight and allow my foot to heal.

The whole experience was very "sales-y". He was ready to cut my foot open that same day, which is great if I really needed it!
He even called me later on that day, unsolicited, to let me know that the price he had quoted for the minor suregery would expire by the end of the day... WHAT?!
I did not go back, did not get the procedure, took care of the foot myself with some home-remedies and my foot is 100%!

Frank Colabella was very nice and the appointment was quick. However, I felt like he just wanted to sell me on more services he offers like custom shoe inserts and some invasive procedure. I didn't feel confident in what I need to do now to help my foot get better and will likely go to another doctor's office to get a second opinion.
Also, I took the time to fill out all of my information on Zocdoc and they made me do it all again with their system, even though I had already done it.

Dr. Colabella was very helpful and efficient in my appointment. I have a busy schedule and limited hours that I can make doctor's appointments and he was super flexible. He had helpful suggestions about what facilities to try out for physical therapy. I will definitely be coming back.

Expect to reschedule numerous times, change locations, wait long before your appointment, and have overpriced and overdue healing aids sent to you a week after your operation. Very unprofessional.

I was glad to find out the source of my foot pain, and Dr. Colabella was very useful for that. But I felt that the doctor ignored all suggestions that I made for longer term non-invasive methods and tried to rush me into surgery. I wasn't confident about getting the procedure done and felt that the doctor was heavy handed.

Dr. Colabella's knowledge, bedside manner, and overall care is absolutely the best.
I was in a significant amount of foot pain for 5 days, and booked a same-day appointment to have it checked out. Dr. C knew exactly what needed to be done to relieve the pain - but it involved a minor surgical operation right then and there.
Of course, being surprised with a minor surgery (that required anesthesia!) on what I thought would be routine lunch break visit was a bit frightening, but Dr. C's bedside manner and great sense of humor put me at ease right away. His in-office operating room was nicer and more state-of-the-art than the operating room I had surgery in at Beth Israel Hospital! He explained the procedure clearly and it was over before I knew it.
The entire appointment from check-in to check-out took about two hours, and I felt immediate relief of the serious pain I was in.
Dr. C sent me home with all the necessary medications, after-care, and instructions I would need to take care of my foot, and even went the extra mile to call and check in two weeks later.
I'm feeling so much better, and any time I have a foot problem I'll definitely be back to see Dr. Colabella.

I am a marathon runner and have been having trouble with my ankles. He was helpful and recommended orthotics, which he got to me in less than a week. On top of that he taped my feet so I could continue running while I waited.

Dr. Colabella took a little while to see me because there seemed to be all sorts of technical problems in their office with the internet and printers and their credit card readers, but once we got into a exam room he immediately identified my issue and suggested a treatment, talked me through the procedure he wanted to perform, and treated me right away where another doctor might have made me come back for a follow-up appointment. I was really pleased with how professional he was and how good he was at explaining why he was making the recommendations he was making. If I have trouble with my feed in the future, I will certainly come back to him.

My experience with Dr. Colabella and the Surgery & Wellness Center has been simply wonderful.
I came to Dr. Colabella with foot pain that had been stumping other doctors and bothering me for over a year. Within the first appointment he had discovered my problem and expedited the treatment process in order to meet my insurance termination deadline.
Dr. Colabella performed surgery to remove a heel spur in my foot using Tenex technology. I literally walked off the operation table feeling better than when I walked on. Now, nearly 2.5 weeks out, I have no pain.
I would highly recommend Dr. Colabella.

Great bedside manners and was able to diagnose my pains right away. If it wasn't for my prior engagements I would do the recommended surgery right away. My first impression was a good one the office located in a beautiful part of town. My foot was in a lot of pain so the elevator was a welcome sight. When I got to the 10th floor I was very impressed by the office area. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who took my information electronically. Dr. Colabella arrived on time and was very friendly and personable. After examining my foot he gave me some helpful advice and gave me his diagnosis. Overall I am quite satisfied and would recommend Dr. Colabella to family and friends.

I got right in, we discussed and examined my (broken) foot. He put it in a soft cast and gave me a boot for it, and then we scheduled follow-ups to check my progress and re-cast it. i was perfectly happy with the outcome.

For my sprained ankle, Dr. Colabella immediately recommended an invasive surgical procedure - Tenex - before he even felt around the ankle or did any diagnostic tests. This recommendation seemed aggressive, procedure-driven, rather than diagnostic.

Dr. Colabella is an amazing podiatrist. Besides his medical skills, he is dedicated to his patients, spends has much time as needed and provides ample medical and anatomical explanations about all procedures. On my first appointment, he called me 15 minutes prior to make sure I would find the right elevator (since I had a sprained ankle). Finally, his office is beautiful and located in Gramercy Park, which makes the visit much more pleasant.
