Dr. George Katsantonis a native of Greece came to the United States in 1974, after graduating from the University of Athens Medical School and completing a compulsory service in the Greek Military (Navy). He completed 5 years of residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at St Louis University Medical School and subsequently practiced in St Louis after completing his training in July 1979.
Along his private practice in general Otolaryngology Dr Katsantonis held a part time faculty appointment at St Louis University where he had the opportunity to teach and further expand his expertise in Head and Neck Surgery, Facial Reconstructive Surgery, Sinus Surgery and Surgical treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Snoring.
Dr Katsantonis is the author and co-author of numerous scientific papers and book chapters pertaining to these subjects. He has presented his work in many scientific conferences and has been the instructor in multiple courses.
He is a member of many scientific/professional societies, among which are, the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Triologic Society.
Dr Katsantonis, a naturalized American citizen, has joined SMART SINUS AND ALLERGY about a year ago bringing all his experience, skill and expertise to our practice.

The Dr is good. But the Billing department is awful and unprofessional which stopped me to visit Dr again.
The Billing department overcharged me 15 times(15*x)!! the amount and I tried to reach them, they never get back to you.
Considering the billing department, I am not recommend it to the potential patient there.

I was very satisfied, my hearing loss was substantial because of wax buildup. Dr. Kotsantonis removed the wax and restored my hearing.

Quick visit in and out! Dr. Prescribed me antibiotics and I?t was nice to be diagnosed and treated quickly!(after the wait to see the doctor, which took about an hour) very friendly guy and nice office!

Didn’t confirm my appointment until 45 min before it was supposed to happen. I called several times without answer and there’s no answering machine or message. I was beginning to think the office was permanently closed. Wait time was over an hour. I don’t know if this is typical. Office is covered in advertisements for some drops they sell and there’s even ads in the intake form. Doctor himself was pretty nice but made some odd comment about how sensitive I am to my fiancé. In the end he said I’m fine so I guess there’s that. He seemed like a decent doctor.
