More about Dr. George Kolettis, MD
Dr. George J. Kolettis received his Doctor of Medicine degree with Honors from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 1988, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He subsequently completed his internship in general surgery at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School in Boston. Thereafter, he completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Harvard Medical School combined orthopaedic surgery residency program. Dr. Kolettis was then appointed chief resident in orthopaedic surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School, where he also served as an attending surgeon on the orthopaedic trauma service. Dr. Kolettis went on to complete his fellowship in sports medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Kolettis has co-authored numerous manuscripts in peer-reviewed medical journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine and The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. He has been selected as a reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine. He has been practicing orthopaedic surgery in Boca Raton since 1995.
