After being told by my new insurance company that I couldn't go back to my eye doctor that I've seen since I was 15, it was nice to meet Dr. Noriega. He was very nice and knowledgeable. I would recommend definitely recommend him to my coworkers.

Hello, I am Gerardo Noriega, O.D, an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. I have been practicing since 1993. I completed my Optometic training from the University of Houston School of Optometry. Prior to Optometry School, I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Lutheran University in 1989.
Besides doing routine Optometric care of obtaining prescriptions for glasses and contacts, I treat eye infections/inflammations/abrasions, allergies, dry eyes, styes, foreign body removals, LASIK co-management and nonsurgical corrective refractive therapy. I can diagnose glaucoma, retinal tears or detachments, macula degeneration and other retinal diseases.
I have been married since 1994 and have been blessed with a daughter and two Shih Tzus. My hobbies and interests are my family, being an active member of the ProLife Movement, reading on topics concerning history and facts and bonzais.
We have many corrective options:
Glasses, Contacts, Corneal Refractive Therapy (corrects vision while you sleep) , and Laser Vision Correction.

Dr. Noriega was very prompt. He was very thorough in his exam. He gave me the opportunity to ask questions and answered them all. He even researched information about what type of contact lens would be best for me while I waited so everything was done before I left. His staff was very helpful with the selection of my glasses and very knowledgeable regarding my insurance. It was a very positive experience.

The office staff was very nice. They had to accommodate because the appointment time I had from ZocDoc was different from the appointment time the office had. They thought I was a no-show because I was 30 min late according to their schedule. This is something ZocDoc might want to look into.

I went in for contacts. They will give me a trial pair next visit (next day - my Rx just wasn't in stock). There was absolutely NO pressure to buy frames & lenses.

Compassionate and caring doctor and staff. I have a rather unique ophthalmic situation, and Dr. Noriega took the time to fully assess my vision and improve it as much as possible. He explained every test that was performed and made sure all my questions were answered. Excellent customer service. They all took time to actively listen and made sure that I got what I needed and wanted at the most affordable price possible.
