Very professional and knowledgeable. Did not waste time and got right down to the examination. He didn't make me wait and was thorough in his evaluation which was presented in a positive manner. He's also a surgeon. I had put off my visit to see an eye doctor for some time now but I'm glad I went to see him.

Dr. Ellenberg was very friendly and easy to speak to. The wait time was fairly short (~15min) and overall took about 1hr to get everything done with. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a pleasant opthamologist.
Sidenote: This doesn't affect me b/c I prefer wearing glasses but he doesn't fit contacts or give Lasik evaluations in case anyone plans to go for such a purpose.

To start with the receptionist was extremely rude. The wait was very long and the receptionist wasn't helpful at all. The doctor was okay but he is very sarcastic and also very insulting. He made a very rude and cruel joke about the eye problem I have. So i was very disappointed.

The visit was good. The prescription he wrote do not exist anymore. So, I still have the problem without any treatment because the office closed so early and closed over the weekend. Hope someone call me back soon so I can straighten it out.

Dr. Ellenberg is a great doctor. With that said, his receptionist is is rude, careless, obnoxious, and just plain awful. I question Dr. Ellenbergs common sense for keeping her around. As prior reviewers have stated, she is just miserable and makes me want to choose a different doctor just because she makes it so uncomfortable.

The doctor was very knowledgeable and he was the only one that was able to detect something in my eye(lid) that three previous ophtalmologists failed to detect, which needed to be removed. It was an eyelash that was there for over two months.
It's sad that some doctors neglect their patients because that is exactly how I felt with all the previous ones.
Dr.Ellenberg is a great doctor and I will be referring my family to him.
Although his receptionist can use some people etiquette. Or better yet, get fired! Horrible, unfriendly. Looks like she's doing you a favor by just being there.

Doctor is efficient, professional and hard working. Forget about the receptionist, as sometimes you will not hear from her. I suggest to use ZocDoc to schedule an appointment. His diagnostics were good and reliable. Office is well maintained and hrs are convenient for people like me who are working and can see the doctor early mornings.

Dr. Ellenberg is very professional and helpful. He explained what issues I had and also offered his suggestions on improvement. The receptionist, however, is very unprofessional, rude, and should be fired! Just because you hate your job, don't take it out on other people. It wouldn't hurt to learn to be courteous!

Went in for an eye exam, he also checked for glaucoma and cataracts, it was quick and easy. He's very welcoming, I'll be back.

It was only the first visit. I was too late, because in spite of what I have seen on ZOC DOC that appointment wasn't available at that time, but earlier.
The receptionist was not friendly and not too polite. (Doctor later said that it was because I was late ( 20 minutes).
Besides the missunderstanding with the time of the visit, it is not very availble place to go. I took subway train AND a bus.
Byt the aera is nice. Is good to plan a lunch in near by Japanise Restaurant UMI (always 20 % off), where the people (unlike the reseptionist) are very nice, friendly, and curuazios.
The doctor seemed like a cultured person, kind of English gentleman.
He also tried to explain the doubts I had about my state.
I will make a fallow up visit next week.
There is a good place to do glases on the same street.
