About Dr. Daniel Rosberger

Dr. Daniel F. Rosberger is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the retina, vitreous and macula. He was graduated from Cornell University, College of Arts and Sciences where he was on the Dean's List. He received his medical degree (M.D.) from Cornell University Medical College with honors in all clinical clerkships and his doctorate (Ph.D.) from the Department of Immunology and Microbiology at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Rosberger was elected to membership in the Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and the Scientific Honor Society, Sigma Xi.Dr. Rosberger completed an internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Ophthalmology at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Hospital for Special Surgery.
Dr. Rosberger completed advanced fellowship training in Medical Retina, Ocular Oncology, Ocular immunology, and state-of-the-art Vitreoretinal Surgery at Johns Hopkins University's Wilmer Ophthalmoiogical Institute. While at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Rosberger received the highly prestigious Heed Foundation and Knapp Fellowships. He is a member of the Vitreous Society.
Dr. Rosberger has received numerous additional honors, grants and fellowships over the years. He has published over forty abstracts, articles and book chapters. He has lectured at Universities and Scientific Meetings across the country. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and on staff at St. Vincent's Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, and Winthrop University Hospital.

This was really much better than expected. I'm a disabled senior citizen, and I had to work to schedule appointments with various doctors -- in this case, with a dental appointment a few hours before my scheduled appointment with Dr. Rosberger. I showed up at Dr. Rosberger's office about two and a half hours early, explaining about the earlier appointment and how I didn't really have anywhere else to loiter. Not only were they very sweet and understanding and let me sit and read in the waiting room. Then one of the aides came and said I could come in for the preliminaries, which she did, and then I was promptly seen by Dr. Rosberger. I was actually finished with this appointment before what should have been my starting time. That was a wonderful accommodation, and very much appreciated.

I had to see a Retina specialist and saw on Zocdoc that Dr Rosberger had an availability that same day. I saw the reviews which praised the Doctor as well as the staff so I booked an appointment.
I was pleasantly surprised by how accurate the reviews were. Everyone in the office was friendly, efficient, and made me feel comfortable. Every single person that I encountered in that office from receptionist, assistants, and Doctor were great. The Doctor is very personable and thoroughly explained everything to me.
I HATE having my eyes examined and anything put near or in my eyes. The staff was kind and patient and made it an easy experience.
So glad I found this practice!

The doctor’s communication was very off. He said the gel in my eyes cracks so my eyes look like someone who is over 70. What he said made me very stressed and very unprofessional and he didn’t offer any treatment plan. He didn’t offer any explanation at all, which only caused my stress.
