More about Dr. Ginny Kington, PsyD
Due to COVID-19, all sessions will take place through HIPPA compliant teletherapy software.
I have wanted to be a psychologist for as long as I can remember. I was drawn to the field because I hoped to understand why people think, feel, and behave the ways they do. I grew up in Ohio, and moved to Atlanta in 2003 for my graduate work. I opened my private practice in 2010, and I love working for myself.
My specialties include chronic illness, trauma, and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. My approach to therapy is integrative, meaning that I use techniques from multiple psychological theories. I tailor my style to meet the needs of individual clients based on their concerns and goals for treatment. During your first appointment, we will discuss your goals and expectations for therapy and what may be the best way to approach your concerns.
PLEASE READ-AFTER AN APPOINTMENT REQUEST:
(1) You will receive an email from me explaining how to complete some intake paperwork prior to your appointment and explaining how we will connect over video.
(2) You will be asked to complete a secure credit card form and you will prepay for the first appointment. This charge will be refunded if you cancel the appointment through ZocDoc with more than 24 hours of notice. *Your appointment cannot be confirmed until the payment has been received.* I am not currently accepting any insurance policies and my fee is $175 per 50 minute session. If you have out of network insurance benefits, I am happy to file a claim for you and you may be reimbursed for a portion of the cost of the session.
