What should a new client know about working with you?

I am an assertive communicator who sets clear boundaries while respecting your positions and boundaries. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I have been in the mental health field for 7+ years with experience working in group homes, Residential treatment facilities, and Partial Hospitalization programs. My WHY for being in this field is personal. I have seen loved ones struggle in silence simply because a safe space was never created for them to be vulnerable and advocate for themselves.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am intentional with my clients to ensure they are both heard and supported in regard to setting and reaching their goals. I always tell my clients, our time together is about you, and I am simply a resource to navigate through. During our first session, I will set aside time to get to know you and understand the reasons you're seeking therapy. This can include learning about your background, current challenges, and goals for therapy.
