More about Dr. Grayson Moore, MD
Dr. Moore knew from a young age that he wanted to pursue a career in medicine after watching both of his parents. With this goal in mind, after graduating from St. Michael’s Academy in Austin, he went on to receive his BA in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. While there, he helped conduct studies on total joint orthopedic prosthetics for FDA approval.
He earned his MD from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After completing his MD, he moved to Galveston to complete a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch. While there, Dr. Moore rotated through the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Orthopedic Hospital in Houston, learning various complex joint reconstruction techniques. His research on total joint infections has been presented at multiple conferences and was published in Current Orthopaedic Practice, winning Best Resident Research Award and the Lockhart Award at UTMB for best resident research.
He also volunteers with Operation Rainbow in Central America, performing free orthopedic surgery for indigent children and young adults who do not have access to related medical procedures or equipment.
Dr. Moore looks forward to returning to Austin and serving the community where he grew up. He is currently a member of the Justin Sports Medicine Team, taking care of injured cowboys and rodeo participants. He also works with local high school teams to treat their medical needs. He has previously coached Little League baseball and looks forward to continue coaching as his children grow up. Dr. Moore is not only passionate about patient care, but his family as well. He is married to his high school sweetheart Paige, and has two amazing children, Parker and Cassidy.

Dr. Moore is kind, attentive, and warm. He was thorough and listened to my complaints carefully and did a full exam alongside xrays. His treatment recommendations were tiered with least invasive to last option, as opposed to immediate surgery which other orthopedists had recommended. I sought Dr. Moore for a second opinion and I realized I was underdiagnosed. Very recommended!

I would give him 6 stars if I could! In 5 years he's the first doctor that actually listened to my neck and back problems and showed me exactly what the issue was in my MRI. He recommended a non-surgical treatment plan I'm going to try out, but also described what the surgical procedure would be my pain doesn't respond to that treatment. First time I ever have options!

Awesome physician. Outstanding communication skills. Very thorough, never felt rushed. Personable, great bedside manner. Demonstrated exercises, carefully reviewed x-rays with us. Gave lots of recommendations for my daughter's knee to heal. I would highly recommend this orthopedist.

The front desk staff is extremely friendly and Dr. Moore's medical assistant was a breath of fresh air! I waited less than 15 min in the waiting room before I was called back. Dr.Moore took his time explaining treatments options for my condition and was a great listener. I appreciate that he offered affordable alternatives for treatment and didn't automatically suggest an invasive procedure. The West Lake Orthopedic team gets an A++ from me!

I was very impressed by the office personnel and other staff I interacted with. They were very prompt and professional. Dr. Grayson was very nice and I felt at ease throughout entire visit. I never felt rushed and all options available were explained in great detail. The only snag was having to go downstairs for X-rays. I had to wait approx. 15 min for a technician to come over from the hospital. If you're on a lunch break from work, that might be an issue. However the staff in radiology were very nice and professional.
