My wait time is rated 3 stars only because I arrived 30 minutes earlier than my appointment time. I was seen at the time of my appointment. Dr. Chen is efficient and thorough. He asks questions and he provides you with an opportunity to ask questions. The office staff is very friendly and accommodating.

As one of the founding physicians of Progressive Care for Women, Dr. Chen offers over 20 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology. He received his Bachelor of Science from Duke University and his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Florida where he was both the Chief Academic and Chief Administrative resident. After completion of his residency, Dr. Chen became an attending physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is currently an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Dr. Chen is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is known for his expertise in infertility evaluation and treatment. He puts his patients at ease as he helps them navigate the rewarding, but sometimes difficult, road to pregnancy. He also has a special interest in abnormal PAP smears, gynecologic ultrasound and sexual health.
In his free time, he enjoys skiing, travel and most of all spending time with his two children.

Dr. Chen was great. The Pap smear was essentially painless, and he provided a lot of great information on getting an IUD and other birth control options. He calmed my fears about insertion, and I'm making an appointment to get one next month. The receptionist, Rachel, was really friendly and the new patient process was super quick. I waited maybe five minutes before seeing a nurse and another five minutes to see Dr. Chen.

First off, let me say that Dr. Chen is great and I highly recommend him. However my problem is with his office staff. When I was checking in the woman at the front desk announced the procedure I was having to the whole waiting room. I found this to be very upsetting and she was not catching on that I was unhappy and kept asking me more personal questions in front of everyone there.
In my opinion, the office needs to be rearranged so that there is privacy when having to discuss very personal matters of patient health at check-in.

Had a colposcopy with Dr. Chen. He was kind, professional, communicative and quick, and I experienced far less pain/cramping than the last time I underwent the procedure (with someone else).

Dr. Chen is a wonderful doctor. He took me through both of my pregnancies and delivered both of my babies. He was always patient, respectful and professional, while still maintaining a warm bedside manner. I continue to see him for my annual well checks, as well as for any necessary issues. His office runs smoothly and he is fairly available to book an appointment quickly. Dr. Chen and PC4W make an otherwise uncomfortable doctor appointment as comfortable and easy as possible.

All of the people at Dr. Chen's office makes an otherwise unpleasant PAP test seem like a walk in the park. Very friendly, very professional, very honest. Only down side is the location as the hospital he works out of charges for parking.

Dr. Chen is a phenomenal physician. He has always made me feel comfortable, has respected my wishes and concerns, and has provided information and guidance without judgement. He delivered my daughter in 2007 without complications and was a key partner in our birth experience. He provided compassionate care for the subsequent pregnancy (2011) that ended in miscarriage. His office staff are kind and extremely professional. They discreetly pulled me aside on my first visit to discuss what medical information I would allow to be disclosed in front of my husband. I would recommend his practice to all and have (he delivered my dear friend's daughter as well to similar acclaim).
