Dr. Michael was born in Miami, Florida and before attending college and medical school, he had the opportunity to live in Japan for three years and travel extensively.
While English is his native language, he is fluent in Spanish and understands and speaks some Japanese. Dr. Michael completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey and was a Galloway Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He has special training in minimally invasive surgery, advanced laparoscopy, and complex pelvic surgery.
He is currently a clinical instructor and faculty member for St. George's University - School of Medicine, AUC School of Medicine, PA program at Barry University and Miami Dade College. He has authored numerous articles and publications ranging from obstetric emergencies to advanced cancer research topics.
Dr Michael has been in private practice at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach for the last 16 years and he is proud to have one of the lowest c-section rates in MSMC, the state, and the country.
Our OB/GYN practice is located at Mount Sinai Medical Center on Miami Beach. Mount Sinai Medical Center has the award of being the "Best Hospital in which to Give Birth in Miami-Dade County," by the readers of South Florida Parenting Magazine for the past two years in a row and its maternity unit is supported by a state-of-the-art neonatal level III intensive care unit (NICU), which offers the highest level of care possible for infants born prematurely or with conditions that require special medical attention.
We are currently welcoming new patients and most insurances are accepted. OB contracts for Self-Pay are also available.

Dr. Gregory Michael is very professional, caring and attentive doctor. He took his time with me from the first meeting, answered all of my questions and was so caring and positive during all my visits. During my delivery he explained me everything carefully, visited regularly and did his best for my baby to have a vaginal birth despite the umbilical cord entanglement and the threat of cesarean section. I felt his real support throughout the process and my baby was born completely healthy. I would recommend him definitely. Best doctor you can imagine for delivering your baby!

The doctor and his staff are very nice and caring. The receptionists were very friendly. The nurse Carolina was super caring and the doctor was amazing he took his time with my husband and I answered all of our questions. They did blood work and turned out I needed medication right away; they dealt with the insurance for me and the doctor explained to me in details why I needed the medication. When I had doubts about something the doctor answered the phone and again explained everything to me.
Two weeks later I needed another medication and it wouldn’t be ready for another day or two so his secretary called me and told I could go in and get a sample. They are just extraordinary! I highly recommend Dr. Michael!
