I was very happy with my experience with Dr. Stein. During my first appointment, Dr. Stein took a thorough history and spent a lot of time with me to fully understand my needs and concerns. He was easy to talk to and professional. He suggested a conservative and logical treatment plan.
I also appreciated that Dr. Stein has evening/weekend availability.

I am a Board Certified psychiatrist with over thirty years of private practice, integrating psychopharmacology with psychotherapy.
I have extensive experience specializing in initial diagnostic evaluations for a wide spectrum of psychiatric problems including anxiety, depression, ADHD, as well as work and relationship issues. My expertise in both biological and psychological problems enables me to provide my patients with compassionate, comprehensive and effective care, in a comfortable and safe environment.
After our first consultation, I will formulate and share with you, an appropriate treatment plan for your problem. I am well respected for my collaborative relationships with therapists, and would be happy to work with your therapist to deepen an understanding of your particular needs.
Through my practice of seeing college and graduate students at Columbia University, I have developed a particular understanding of challenges facing this age group, and as they enter their post-college years.
I am a graduate of Columbia University’s medical school, psychiatry residency and psychoanalytic training programs. I am now on the faculty at Columbia supervising psychiatrists in training.
Please know when you book an appointment with me, it is my practice to have a brief phone conversation prior to your visit. I work out of network with insurance companies with successful reimbursement of 70-100% of my fees for most patients depending on their insurance plan.
