Gayle S. Goren, MD is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center. She graduated from a residency in Adult Psychiatry for The Cambridge Health Alliance-Harvard Medical School in 2002 and went on to do a Public Psychiatry Fellowship at Columbia University.
Dr. Goren has worked extensively in a broad range of services in Psychiatry, including as an attending in the Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation Program at NYP Hospital, as a psychopharmacologist for Spanish and English-speaking outpatients at NYP, and as a psychotherapist and psychopharmacologist for graduate students at the Columbia University Mental Health Service at the 168th Street Campus.
Dr. Goren provides comprehensive diagnostic psychiatric evaluations, initial and ongoing psychopharmacologic management, and psychodynamic psychotherapy when appropriate.

While we do not participate with insurance companies, we do provide patients with a receipt that is coded appropriately for submission to their insurance for out of network coverage if they have that benefit. We are also able to provide patients with the information necessary to call their insurance in advance of a visit and determine coverage and reimbursement based on the type of service they are seeking.
