Dr. Haleh Mohseni is a thorough, comforting family physician and primary care doctor treating patients in the Bronx and greater New York City areas. Originally from Iran, Dr. Mohseni attended Bangladesh Medical College in order to pursue her medical degree. She continued her medical education at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. Here, she completed a residency program focused on the study of family medicine.

This was one of the worst doctors appointment I have ever had. First of all the address is wrong and the place you arrive to makes you drive somewhere elee for the obgyn. Secondly the office is in a tight basement with loud patients and nasty walls. The people at the front desk didnt ask for an appointment and held onto my insurance card for a half hour. I

Extremely long wait time. She takes her time and keeps inaccurate information. On multiple occasions I was seen by this doctor and each time is the same. I walk in and wait for very long, when im called Its for vitals only then i have to sit and wait again. When I finally do see the doctor, I explain my symptoms, she makes a judgement based on my symptoms and writes me a prescription and says see you in 2 weeks. After waiting 2 hours just to see the doctor for 2 1/2 minutes and walk out with a RX, It makes me sick at the health industry.

Went to this place because they said they accepted GHI-CBP. I asked the receptionist whether i was in network and found out months later that it was false. She assured me that I was covered and she took the copay from me. i am extremely upset because i specifically asked whether i was in network or not. Now im responsible for a ridiculous bill.

Helen is extremely nice. However, the sessions took a while. Even when I showed up early I was still seen late. During my sessions I felt rushed and sometimes like I wasn't receiving the proper amount of attention as she would sometimes be on her phone.

She was very nice and helped me out with the things I needed right away. Most doctors don't do anything on your first visit but ask a million questions and then tell you, you need to come back to get any work done or any refills you may need. She didn't do that I got my PPD and refills on the spot. what's even better is she is open on Saturday I work and go to school fulltime so that is great! It's so hard to find an office that has good service and is also open when you need it. Thanks so much!

DR. HALEH MONHESNI and the entire ESSEN staff from the front desk to the labs were all so pleasant, professional and knowledgable. They answered all my questions and took very good care of me. I liked them so much i scheduled an appt for my daughter aswell.

I was having trouble finding a women’s health doctor in my neighborhood that had same day walk-in appointments. A friend told me about zocdoc and I was lucky enough to find Dr. Mohseni. I made an appointment online and received an email confirming the appointment a few minutes later. I had a little trouble finding the office…the entrance is on Bush Street even though the address 2024 Creston. When I got to her office the front desk staff was great. I was quickly seen by Dr. Mohseni. She made me feel very comfortable during the gynecological exam and even talked me through everything she was doing since I told her that I get very nervous because i have had bad experiences in the past. She answered all my questions and made sure I knew what my next steps should be. She even sent my prescriptions online directly to my pharmacy. I would highly recommend Dr. Mosheni and Essen Medical. They seem to have all types of specialists and accept all kinds of insurances and cash.

This visit was overall unfortunately pretty poor. She did not understand that I wanted an exam upon presenting her with my symptoms and then told me, "ok see you again soon, have a nice day". When I finally did get an examination (after re-explaining my concerns) she had another woman perform the exam. This woman was first introduced as a "student" and then shortly after as an NP so I have no idea as to her level of study.
The exam was awful. The "student" was rough and did not perform it properly so the Dr. Mohseni had to come over and readjust the equipment which was painful and caused the exam to last longer. The instruments were not prepared prior to bringing me into the room so they were scrambling around in front of me while I was hanging off the table. The gloves were in a pile on the desk and in fact, the "student" asked for another glove directly before starting my exam because she had contaminated one by touching things associated with the table.
I was burning the whole ride home and then noticed some bleeding when I did arrive home. I immediately jumped in the shower to clean off.
I have never had such an experience in relation to a GYN exam. I felt violated and tossed to the side at the end when they both dashed out of the room following the exam, stating "they would call me" as they were shutting the door.
I am usually a very positive person but this just made me sad.
