Harold N. Levinson, M.D. is a world-
renowned psychiatrist and neurologist. He
has a vast experience in treating varied
psychiatric disorders psychotherapeutically
and pharmacologically.
In addition, he is credited with bringing
about a dramatic medical breakthrough in
the understanding, diagnosis, and
successful treatment of Dyslexia/LD and its
many related ADD/ADHD, Phobic/Anxiety,
Depressive… impairments. And even
improving—not curing— Autism or ASD.
As a result, the above disorders have
become Dr.Levinson’s major
subspecialty—especially since many
patients frequently have both obvious
psychiatric and hidden neurological
impairments responsible for their
symptoms; and so they must be holistically
understood and treated in order to obtain
the best possible results.

Dr. Levinson is an incredible diagnostician who understand the nuances of behavior and how to treat children and adults. We have been privileged to use him for the last 6 years for our son and we are so grateful for his guidance and expertise- you are not going to find a psychiatrist who is as resourceful and knowledgable.

Very efficient office staff. Great communication. Great followup. Very nice and friendly. The doctor was right on time for the appointment. He was very nice and understanding and had a good sense of humor. Made me laugh which was really nice. He is very knowledgeable about medications and made great recommendaitons to me. I was really happy he also recommended nutrient/all natural products to help my anxiety and depression issues. And recommended Genetic Testing to see what medications would work best for me.

He is a doctor who truly cares about helping others. I have more than one issue and recently moved to NY was looking for someone in the state to take me on. I sent him a summary in advance and when we had our appointment he was concerned that one of my disorders (binge eating/purging) was outside his level of expertise. I, personally, did not see that as my main concern (even though clearly needs to be part of the equation). But I did respect that he saw it as a huge concern and wasn’t inclined to work with me.
After talking further about my other issues, it turned out that he uncovered something that has been overlooked my entire life and was exactly what he specializes in. He said he would work with me on a trial basis, if I would get a therapist for my eating disorder (he is helping me to find someone).
I respect his honesty and his diligence in digging deeper. He is also a lovely man with an excellent bedside manner. I felt so comfortable to be open and honest on this very first visit.

Dr. Levinson appears to be as he is portrayed in his bio and from comments from past patients. He's very experienced, is an excellent listener and is conservative in his methodology.
He's down to earth and doesn't speak down to his patients. I appreciate his step by step ways of gathering the necessary information from me.

Dr Levison uses a physiological instead of psychological approach to find out what problems or phobias you may be having. I found his way of thinking 'outside the box' very thought provoking and helpful.

I would highly recommend Dr. Levinson. He took time to understand the roof of my issues and instead of putting me condition into one "bundle" he pin pointed key areas and developed a plan of action according to my specific needs. He listens to everything you have to say and works on a treatment catered to you. He is very personable and I am luck to have found him.

This was a follow up consult as I've been a patient for many years. The office staff is courteous and the wait time minimal. Dr. Levison is knowledgeable and attentive. As always he provided me with helpful feedback and a combination of the right meds to alleviate my anxiety issues.
