I was drawn to obstetrics and gynecology by the continuity of seeing women throughout their lives. I welcome the opportunity to care for young women becoming mothers as well as older women who can teach me a thing or two!
I grew up in Lewisville,Tx (Go Farmers!). I went to Columbia University in New York City to study engineering, and then came back to Texas Tech for an MD/PhD. I ended up back in Denton. In fact my office is about three blocks from where I was born!
I have a PhD in reproductive molecular biology. I have authored several academic papers concerning that research on gene expression in the pituitary gland.
Most of my free time is spent with my 2 school aged boys. As any mother can attest to: this requires many hours in the car and at sports practice.
