Dr. David Yi graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Biophysics and went to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. He then practiced as a hospitalist for two years before joining Trophy Club Family Medicine in 2006. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He believes strongly in looking deeper into the root cause of disease and disability and not just symptom management. He actually likes to care for patients with complex issues as he finds it rewarding to make complex problems manageable and simplify treatment and medication regimens. Dr. Yi and his wife are active in their church and often go on medical mission trips to Belize.
