Dr. Heidi Gilchrist is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist who is devoted to providing excellent patient care. She is dedicated to providing each and every patient with a nurturing, comfortable, and thorough dermatology experience.
Dr. Gilchrist has a solid foundational training in conventional western medicine, and she also emphasizes a holistic, integrated approach to skin health and disease prevention, including individualized dietary recommendations, natural skin conditioners, and mindfulness practices.
After completing her dermatology residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Dr. Gilchrist went on to a fellowship at the University of Virginia Health System. She then spent 2 years enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest while working for Kaiser Permanente in Portland, Oregon, before pursuing her dream of opening her own practice here in southern California. She is deeply happy to finally establish her roots in the Encinitas community.
