I thought he was completely professional, he made me feel calm, which is a difficult task. And I thought he was very up to date with medications and symptoms. And like most doctors I see, the wait the 30 days to see you next time. But he made a two week appointment to make sure the medicines were working ok. I enjoyed the visit very much.

While the Dr was kind and caring I've never been to a Dr's office with worse staff. They were and continue to be incredibly rude they day I was there and with each follow up conversation. Extremely disappointed.

Dr. Herbert Meadow is excellent. First thing, he has an interesting system where he has an wonderful assistant typing information into the computer, so Dr. Meadow's attention is completely on the patient. If anyone ever mentioned that Dr. Meadow's treatments / consultations are quick, its because he doesn't have to spend time writing it down. Therefore, when it comes to the doctor himself, very knowledgeable, calm and asks appropriate questions to lead to an accurate conclusion.
The office itself is located in a somewhat chaotic area, and the office has other doctors as well; thus many patients waiting, IT DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE ALL WAITING FOR THIS DOCTOR. The wait was not long at all, and its worth going to a well mannered doctor who actually looks and listens to you.
I would highly recommend this doctor (excuse the actual office).

The environment itself is a little chaotic- and I was really relieved that the online check-in went smoothly. The staff at the desk was efficient and friendly. The doctor asked questions and provided me with my prescription in a quick manner as well, which was my primary reason for the visit.

It was a very efficient process and meeting. Since this was my first appointment with Dr. Meadow, it seemed as thought he really wanted to hear what was going on with my in terms of symptomology. It was great to feel reassured and to not feel as though he didn't care.

I understand that there are a lot of patients but I felt like I barely spent five minutes talking with Dr. Meadow and would have liked a bit more time as you can't accurately diagnose a patient in five minutes. I was able to get the medications that I know work for me and he wants to see me again soon to make sure everything is going well which makes me feel more comfortable.

I would not recommend this place if you are seeking Psychiatric treatment for the first time and are in anyway uncomfortable with it. You will definitely be disappointed if you're expecting a calm, doctor's office experience. It's a community clinic, which I suppose I should have noted before going. A little bit on the wild side at least compared to what I'm used to/was expecting. The front desk staff were nice enough and the doctor called me in pretty quickly (speed of service was very good). It kind of felt like an assembly line. The Dr. was really just slamming through patients one by one. I spent maybe 5 minutes with Dr. Meadow, he seemed intelligent but definitely in a hurry. I've been to 1 other Psychiatrist in the past and the first consultation was muuuch more thorough that time. Basically, I don't think Dr. Meadow cared very much. Definitely a good place if you're looking for a quick prescription though.

If you have a talk therapist and are generally familiar with what medications you need to manage your health, Dr. Meadow is the perfect psychiatrist. He doesn't "push" medications on you (in fact, he told me I was unnecessarily taking and paying for a medication whose benefits are not yet backed by science, but are touted by pharma reps). He is professional, knowledgeable, and made me immediately comfortable. If you have a trusted talk therapist and understand the medications you're taking/have questions regarding other meds, Dr. Meadow is the doctor for you.

The only thing i found odd is that a young man sits with the doctor and works on the computer. I thought that it would just be myself and the psychiatristt. I do like the psychiatrust. He us very attenrive and understanding!
