I found my doctor!! Havent been to the dr. in quite a while and was really nervous. The whole experience changed how I feel about visiting the doctor. Dr. Tatu (and staff) were so warm & genuine. I felt like he listened to everything (and there was a lot) I had to say and I feel all my concerns were addressed... So glad I found Dr. Tatu!!

He received his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Iuliu Hatieganu, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where he graduated cum laude. Dr. Tatu completed residencies in internal medicine and general surgery at Saint Joseph Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, MI. He is licensed to practice in Michigan.
Dr. Tatu enjoys working in a collaborative team environment and provides care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He has experience with more than 400 surgical procedures, including central lines, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and arthocentesis. He has assisted with surgeries in all specialty areas. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Detroit Surgical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Oakland Medical Society, and the Michigan State Medical Society.
Dr. Tatu speaks English, Romanian, French, and German, and he is currently learning Spanish. In his free time, Dr. Tatu enjoys traveling, tennis, music, literature, and computers. He is also a member of the National Ski Patrol.

I found Dr. Tatu to be very competent, compassionate and understanding of my health concerns. He took the time needed to explain and answer all my questions. I am very pleased to have found a place where I felt completely comfortable. I also found the staff to be warm and inviting which was important to me.
