all the staff were very personal able
Very nice and they listened to me and my concerns which I really appreciate
He is cute but mainly he is professional.
I always like going to see Dr. Yager. He and his staff are so nice and polite. It's nice old-school doctoring with all the new school technology. I look forward to going back again.
Once I was taken to the back room, everything was quick and professional. However, I had a 9 am appointment and took over an hour to be seen. During this time, individuals who had appointments later than I were seen implying that I was skipped over.
I actually saw Dr Seager. He was great. Dr Yager's medical assistant is overworked and needs assistance.
Don't go here. They are disorganized and cannot keep up with your records. I have been on the phone with them for a month trying to ge them to fax a form to my work. They are not up the task. I went by on my lunch break they made me wait 30 mins to even see me, then I found out they lost my form. They gave a fax number to fax them an additional form. When I went to send the form it was lost. The medical service wasn't anything special. Place is disorganized and outdated. They will cause you a lot of stress.
I scheduled an 8:30 appointment on ZocDoc but due to Dr Yager not being there the office hours were changed from 8-12 to 9-1 but this was not reflected online. I was able to get into the waiting room by 9 and wasn't seen for another 15 minutes. I'm thinking of finding another doctor that's closer. I like being able to schedule online but if it isn't effective then convenience has no value.
falsified medical documents, rude, made me wait over 1.5 hours past appointment scheduled, had to chase them down, and said i was ok when i have failing kidneys
He is very good at understanding what your needs are and listened to what I had to say! Very pleased
I'm so glad I found Dr. Yager. He is truly a very caring doctor, and I he is always available when I need him. He goes the extra mile to make sure he has covered all of your concerns, and you leave with more peace that things will get better. His staff is always friendly and treat me like family.
It was ok. Seemed less thorough than other doctors, but I'm not a dr so can't say for sure if he did all he should have. Very weird vibe in office - but just weird, not bad.
I never have a problem getting an appointment right away whenever I need to see him, that is the number one attribute of his office. Secondly, the nurse is super friendly and they don't treat you like a "problem", but a patient. His visit are very thorough, and he always listens to any issues I have. The only problem I have with Dr. Yager, is not really with Dr. Yager, but rather with the medical community as a whole. They do not understand, that once your brain has been changed and re-wired for as long as mine and so many other's have, it is not going back to normal, and I have basically cut back as much as I can, if I cut back anymore I would begin to get sick and have cravings. He also (like the rest of the medical community) seems to think that going to meetings like AA and NA are not only helpful, but necessary. I don't have time to explain to him how those organizations actually make things worse for 95% of the population, and they only help five percent. However, what is worse is that not only do they not help, they actually cause harm and other psychologically problems- you name it, they cause it. However, he is just doing his job, which is what is required of him. Also, I know for a fact that the two drugs that showed up on the screen were not put into my body ever! He actually seemed to believe me, which was quite relieving. He treats you like a person and not another nuisance, I would recommend him to anyone in need of a caring doctor, without thinking twice. Thanks Dr. Yager!
At first I was thrown off because the interior design was "historical" to say the least. The office whole office looked like a museum. However, the treatment was very thorough. Would definitely recommend.
The doctor took his time and made me feel like I was the only person in his care. Great and caring staff.
Dr Yager has one of the best personalities I've ever been around in the medical profession. He's my favorite doctor I've ever seen and this was only my third visit.
Excellent Dr and it was not time consuming. I came there for a purpose and left a very happy customer!
Dr. Yager is very experienced. I felt very comfortable with him. His operation is small but very efficient. I can honestly say I look forward to my next visit.
Dr. Yager and his medical assistant were professional, hospitable, and very friendly. I had a great visit!
I had a visit to this doctor for my annual physical and it was good .they treated us gently and taken much more information about health.
Very unprofessional, outdated. Office is not clean and staff doesn't even use gloves for blood withdrawal. Following up with information was a total chaos.
Good doctor, really quirk and unique office. I'm not gonna lie and say maybe just for me the more sterile modern day outpatient medical offices are my thing.
I was a little surprised by the location, but the entire experience was very pleasant.
Nice doctor. Prescribed me drugs that killed my illness right away.
Another patient snuck in and took my appointment time, prolonging the appointment by 30 minutes. The doctor was very good, listened to me, and the blood draw was painless.
Good doctor, very genuine. Will come back for future appointments.
I've been going to Dr. Yager for a few years now and I've never had a doctor quite like him. He has years of experience that make him diverse in his knowledge and always takes care of whatever is ailing me. First class doctor!
I was seen quickly. He and his staff were quick and efficient. I was a new patient and had an appointment at 9 and had a complete check with EKG and bloodwork and was driving away by 9:35.
I felt like the appointment was much quicker than I'd expected. I waited just over a half hour, which - sadly - I consider pretty average based on my past experiences. I will say that I was able to get an appointment pretty quickly. As for bedside manner - I had some concerns about sleep problems that I did not feel were met with any real compassion. I asked questions about some potential side effects of medication and was just told 'well then you don't have to take it.' The nurse was very kind. I just felt like the doctor was a little disinterested. He came on a strong recommendation from a friend which makes me wonder if it wasn't just an off day? I will probably not go back, so my hunt for a new primary care doc continues. :/
Very nice guy and professional. I like the small town doctor feel and his office has neat artifacts of old doctor equipment.
Pros: I was able to get an appointment with a doctor within a day. Cons: Agree with other reviews that the office was musty. Slow because there was only 1 doctor and assistant.
It was quite dirty, and the office is out of a converted residence. Much like a boutique. The doctor was very nice and seemed to know what he was doing, but the office needs to be cleaned out, floors mopped and superfluous debris removed from the office spaces. Lots of old medical equipment laying around, wires, dead insects, etc. and looks more like a five and dime than a doctors office.
Very nice staff and Dr Yager is so kind. I will continue to go back to see Dr Yager.
I love Dr. Yager! He's warm, extremely knowledgeable & a true asset to medicine! He listens to all your concerns & ask probing questions & going into his wonderful office is literally like going back in time!!!! I love the way it's decorated & if you have a moment, ask him about the bottles! The stories that he has to tell are worth the visit alone! His staff is also bright, warm, intuitive, & endearing. A true joy for a patient whom may not be there on their best day!
Dr. Howard Yager is a very friendly, easy-going doctor. Highly recommended!
The office/home looks old, the decoration is horrible. They have tons of antiques and old stuff in the reception, also loud music that didn't make me feel very comfortable while waiting, not to mentioned that place smelled like mold. I believe a doctor needs to have a clean office to give the patients the idea that this is a clean place.
Very strange and unprofessional. Waited in the waiting room for 45 minutes despite appointment. While waiting I could clearly hear him speaking on the phone with other patients. While not only strange, it's probably a HIPAA violation. The exam room wasn't clean and was strangely adorned. The nurse messed up when drawing my blood and left an 8-inch bruise on my arm. Dr Yager himself was nice, but overall a negative experience.
Loved this facility. Very competent & sweet folks easy to get in & also to locate. Old fashioned environment that I like. :)
Small office that stays busy but are very efficient on getting you in and out quickly! Very personable staff as well.
The doctor was quick and to the point and everyone else I talked to was sweet and down to earth
Dr. Yager and Ms. Robyn are prompt, courteous, and thorough- Always a pleasant experience when visiting the office!
Dr. Yager is very friendly and patiently answered all my questions
Nurses were very friendly. Dr. Yager was a nice man. The practice is in an old house which was a little strange when you first get there, but it's not a big deal. I will go back to Dr. Yager.
I was extremely un-pleased with the service. I did not feel that the facility was clean, the doctor himself appeared disheveled, I waited for 45 minutes past my appointment time before I was called back (this was during my lunch HOUR), and I explained to him how I broke my finger, and he wrote down the completely wrong thing. This was not a place I would ever step foot into again. Extremely upsetting, and I know nothing more than I knew when I walked in.
I was a little frighten by his office ot be honest. It is very low tech, so plan on waiting time befor eyou go back because there is only one nurse and the doctor himself processing everything. The decor was a little creepy for a doctors office. Lots of antiques and old medicince bottles as decoration. Even though the people were very nice and the place had lots of character, I'm not sure I'd recommend it as a doctors office because of it being so low tech and not with the times. I went for a general checkup and to get some medicines refilled because I am new ot the area and it was definiately different than any other doctor I've been to, He didn't really take any time ot check me out. He just kind of took what I said, wrote my perscriptions, and sent me on my way.
Not a fan. He doesn't seem to care about his patients at all.
Man did I get lucky finding Dr. Yager! I swear, I have never had such consistently excellent care from a doctor and his entire team. He is knowledgeable, informative, and makes sure you get the treatment and tests you need and that you understand the results. He also got me in IMMEDIATELY when I called after waking up with an odd bug bite on my face. And don't even get me started on his nurses! I love them so much, they crack me up and make you feel comfortable and at ease half naked in a gown! All good things for Yager.
The place was dirty, old, musty with no sense of urgency
Dr. Yager and his staff are definitely old school so be prepared for that. It is a unique experience. There are 2 staff and just 1 doctor in a house in Buckhead. I appreciated that I was able to schedule and be seen the same day. Check in and check out went very smooth. Dr. Yager is very easy to talk to and knows his stuff.
He is very nice but I spent more time with the nurse than I did the doctor. Very disconnected experience. That's my primary reason for seeking a new primary care doctor for 2015.
Would not recommend based on hippa privacy act, office and patient room clutter, and staff nurses not very knowledgeable.
He is the best
He was very professional and kind. Helped me with my needs and let me stay on my busy schedule. I was in and out. I will continue using him
Overall a pleasant experience.
Very pleasant doctor.
Dr. is direct and to the point, making me feel I'm in good hands with this DR.
The visit with Dr. Yager went great. I would go to him again.
I'll see ya in 1 year, Went well, Very Personable!!!!!!
I will refer him to others. The staff was very nice and professional. Dr. Yager was willing to listen while I told him about my symptoms. Instead of just part of it and assuming what's going on. He is awesome.
He was very nice but seemed more interested in shuffling me out the door than speaking with me about my symptoms or answering my questions. If you know what's wrong already and you just need a quick diagnosis and prescription he's your guy. If you need to talk with somebody about your symptoms, not so much!
Best doctor I've ever had.
I saw Dr. Yager a few months ago, but decided not to leave a review until I found a new primary care doctor. I unfortunately will not be back to see Dr. Yager. My blood was taken by the nurse and she was not wearing any gloves. This made me sick to my stomach. The environment is cute, but it's really not fitting for a doctors office. The other review's are on point, it's kind of dirty and cluttered. There is something special about Dr. Yager, in the fact that he does give you the feeling of a small time doctor. He answers his own calls. Handles his own billing. If you want something intimate, Dr. Yager may be right for you. When talking to him about my health, he did listen and he did give me all the time I needed. We did have a great discussion and I did not feel rushed. However I want a clutter free environment where the doctor can focus on Dr. things, and the nurses and receptionists do their thing. So no, I would unfortunately not recommend this doctor to anyone.
I think Dr. Yager is incredible.
I went for a physical and Dr. Yager and the nurse were very nice. Routine check up but no reason I wouldn't recommend him.
Very kind and personable!
Love Dr. Yager . He's been my Doc now for well over ten years
Staff and Dr.Yager were really nice
Very efficient, made it easy when my insurance info changed, and was very accommodating.
At first, I was a little put off by all the dust in the waiting room. The office is filled with medical antiques, which is a bit cute and a bit unsanitary when they're not kept clean (which they weren't). The doctor was friendly at times, but was sick himself, and he coughed (more like hacked) without covering his mouth. As a public health person, this made me cringe. I don't know if it was due to sickness, but the doctor also had a stern way about him and got a bit short when I asked questions, which made me feel uncomfortable. The doctor took a quick look in my throat and ears and said he saw infection, but he didn't say where and he didn't say what he thought the infection was. He said he was going to give me a shot and some pills, but he didn't say what kind. When the price came up, no one told me what I had been charged for because it was more than my co-pay. I had to keep asking questions to get any information, and I felt very vulnerable, even for someone who has had experience in health care. Overall, there was so much communication lacking that should be happening between the patient and provider. I probably won't go back.
Excellent Doctor! His assistant/nurse is fantastic too!
Dr. Yager was great! He was very understanding and showed a genuine concern for my health, not to mention his office decor is so vintage and comfortable :)
Phenomenal. I couldn't be more satisfied or impressed, even.
He was okay, but he's ancient and his practice seems a little outdated.
I loved Dr. Yager. He spent time with me and was very helpful and friendly. I felt comfortable with him. His nurse however, left much to be desired. She wasn't very nice or genuine but the Doctor is who I care about, and will definately use him as my primary care doctor.
Very nice man, polite staff and professional. I was seen right away and the doctor took time to listen to all of my concerns and issues. Would return again if needed!
He was a really nice guy with a good staff. I really liked his office. I went for a physical. It was great.
the doctor seems lost and tired and had no idea about the practice !! believe me I have given him the benefit of the doupt and came in for the seconde time after first treatment that did not get any results!! I came because of my middle right finger that gets stiffed and soar every morning and before I come to the office I did my research on line and found out that it could be either a trigger finger case or a really early stage of arthritis !!to my surprise the doctor didn't know what it was especially that he tried some anti inflamatory pills at my first visit and told me he was gonna refer me to an orthopedic! that's when I asked him about the trigger finger situation and his answer was " hmm may be.. it might be !!" at my surprise the referral letter he gave me for the orthopedic mentionend exactly in the area reserved for the diagnostic " trigger finger right hand" I'm just confused here wasn't he supposed to know about it before I mention the thing to him or what?!! PS at my first visit I think he was sick and was coughing very badly which made me so uncomfortable and now I'm telling myself no wonder he is available every day and there not much wait time to get checked
Dr. Yager was nice enough, but the office is messy and cluttered -the first indication they are disorganized. He said he'd either call or mail me the results from my annual physical-6 weeks went by and I heard nothing. The nurse also has terrible bedside manner and left me sitting in the waiting room for nearly an hour. When I finally went out into the lobby to let them know I had to go back to work Dr. Yager saw me himself, but overall not the best experience.
Excellent doctor. Quick and knowledgable about my needs. Highly recommend.
Pleasant, courteous, and knowledgable doctor.
Great as always. As usual I was able to see the Dr. promptly with very little wait time. Dr. Yager is very informative and always takes an interest in meeting the needs of his patients. Will definitely be back.
Quick, easy, simple, etc. I couldn't really ask for anything more.
Everyone was nice and helpful, and the atmosphere was very friendly and inviting. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
I had a very experience most likely will go back again.
Another quality visit as usual. The staff were friendly and professional as usual and Robin was super nice. Dr. Yager has been practicing medicine long enough and has enough knowledge to help you with any situation you are facing. Great advice, great conversation, GREAT DOCTOR!!!!!!
very unique office. real one on one visit, certainly not a factory! dr. seemed tuned in and i guess up on what the current trends are, but the patient is surrounded by so much antique "stuff" in the small space that i'm glad i didn't faint due to the lack of air conditioning. no place to fall!!!! i will go again when i need to and i sense that dr yager's commitment to medicine is and has been as serious as his commitment to haute "clutter." it is his space, i was a guest.
Great doctor, professional, very knowledgeable about uncommon medicines and uncommon issues.
Do not go to this doctor! I went here and the aides were confused and were not confident in what they were doing. The doctor yelled out from another room, "Is she gonna get the blood work done?" It made me feel like It was just an up sell to add more money to collect. At that time blood work had nothing to do with my visit so I asked the aide how it would help and she said "Uuummm I don't know. Against my better judgement I allowed her to take blood only because I requested my blood type. I didn't hear anything back from the office after I received the most confusing report from the lab, with all sorts of notes written in gibberish, so I called. The doctor returned my call the same day only to say, "Everything is fine." During the visit I voiced some concerns which I then asked the doctor about and he replied, "Uh, everything is fine". I could tell he had no idea what I was talking about as far as what I came in for and didn't care. Had no idea about my blood type. He told me I could come in again for another appointment and pay another co pay to him. I advised him that I was not satisfied with that solution and he told me, "Well you can go see another doctor." If this how you would like to be treated by your doctor and have endless money to throw away by all means make the appointment here. However, if you need to be treated with respect, dignity, and as a valued patient then trust me when I say to look elsewhere.
He's a pro for sure.
Dr. Yager was awesome but his nurses are something else. The lady that drew my blood lacked confidence. It looks like that was her first time ever drawing blood. She was literally shaking and didn't know what to do I had to coach her through. At a point, I wanted to draw it myself. I asked if she wanted me to do it but I guess she was ashamed so she wanted to do it. My ac vein is almost half inch diameter and yet she missed it. I was pierced 2 time.
Dr. Yager and his staff are professional as well as friendly. The wait is typically less than 5 minutes and they are always able to see me on short notice. Dr. Yager is very knowledgeable but he's old school in terms of his bedside manner - unrushed, engaged and is willing to spend as much time with you as you need. He genuinely seems to care. I highly recommend him.
Great doctor with a nice nursing staff to match. Very nice, attentive and willing to talk to you about your problems and encourage healthy habits
I think he was alright and cool for a doctor.
This is a very unprofessional environment and I would not recommend
Dr. Yager was very nice, though his nurse was not very skilled with a needle and bruised me pretty badly trying to take my blood.
I loved the fact that this is a small practice with a laid-back, professional style.
Dr. Yager is a very sweet and kind hearted man. He actually takes the time to hear about why you are there and he remembers everything the next time you see him. And all of his staff are very sweet every time.
My first visit to Dr Yager was great, and the staff is very friendly. I would definitely go back.
Dr. Yagar was excellent, however, his staff needs to learn how to draw blood correctly.
Dr. Yager was very nice, and I really liked his office.
Dr. Yager & staff were very kind, professional, prompt, and paid close attention to details. Highly recommended if you need a trustworthy & thorough doctor in Buckhead.
Highly recommend, Dr. Yager! Great doctor. Great questions and really awesome office. You will have to visit to understand. :)
