Dr. Kang is a hardworking, honest, and compassionate physician. With optimism and a jolly nature that is definitely contagious, he strives for perfection in taking care of his patients. As a senior at Texas A&M University, Dr. Kang received the Faculty Achievement Award for his academic achievements and leadership skills. Continued dedication earned him an Outstanding Resident Award during his anesthesia training at Case Western Reserve University, where he went on to serve as Chief Fellow among his colleagues during his pain fellowship. Dr. Kang is board certified in both Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He believes and practices evidence based medicine and has presented at numerous national and international conferences receiving peer acknowledgement for his work. In an effort to share his knowledge with other members of the medical community, he has lectured to hospital staff and physicians educating them on the latest methods for pain treatment and management. This doctor sent me home to go into full withdrawal after seven years of pain management via methadone under another docs care who terminated me last month, when he could have written one prescription with a tapering schedule, which is all I requested. When I said respectfully that he had not been very helpful he immediately copped an attitude and he said he didn't have to give me the virtually useless prescription for neurontin to help with withdrawal symptoms that he was writing. He then referred me to an inpatient drug treatment facility like I was a junkie. He lacked empathy and compassion and was only interested in protecting himself and his licensure.

Tried to switch patient to lyrica and remove pain killers. This client had multiple failed back surgery's with scoliosis age 65.

I love zoc doc I've used it so much and have had wonderful experiences and found great doctors but this one is not one of them the staff was not to friendly at all and the doctor did not have great bedside manner I was highly dissatisfied

I always look forward to my visits. Patients are treated with dignity and respect. The office personnel is always courteous and professional. Extremely nice facility. In addition, Dr. Kang has relieved all of my pain. I have never been so happy! He has given me my life back!!!

Not only is the office personnel extremely competent, Dr. Kang is exactly what a patient in pain needs. He is extremely compassionate and takes his time with all patients. After my procedure I ws 80-90% relieved of pain. I call him a God among men.

The staff was great, very friendly and courteous. But that was where the courteousness stopped. Dr. Kang immediately talked about doing a steroid injection as though he was reading from a script and didn't bother to look me in the eye throughout said script. He lost interest in me when I vocalized my hesitation with trying more injections. I've had 4 in the last 3 months with my last pm Dr. in Dallas and was very interested in exploring my options w/a neurostimulator implant ( I've had 2 major back surgeries in the last 2 yrs and currently have 4 large bulging discs and a misplaced rod from my last fusion). He had no interest in helping me with my current meds so I will be making a long, painful trip to my former and more compassionate doctor. He may help some, but not me, and I would NEVER recommend him.
