The staff was friendly, the booking was fast and easy. Dr. Ian was fast and thorough, knew what was going on. Loved that they had me do x-rays prior to the visit to speed up the appointment. Recommendations were on point. Highly recommend.

Dr. Ian Newport is a foot and ankle surgeon who moved to the Phoenix area after completing his residency in Northern California at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara, a teaching affiliate of Stanford Medical School. During his surgical residency training he was privileged to be selected and to serve as Chief Resident of the Podiatric Surgical Department. Here he received extensive training in foot and ankle deformities, arthroscopic technique, reconstructive surgery, and management of lower extremity trauma in both adults and children. He also received comprehensive training in orthopedic surgery/traumatology, pediatric orthopedics, sports medicine, emergency medicine, vascular surgery, infectious disease, internal medicine, plastic surgery, and endocrinology. To ensure the best care for his patients, Dr. Newport continues to further his knowledge by attending advanced courses in topics such as arthroscopy, and frequents the annual American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Conference.
Dr. Newport received his medical degree from Kent State University, an affiliate of Case Western Reserve Medical School in Cleveland, Ohio. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Saint Louis University where he majored in Biology with a minor in anthropology. Dr. Newport was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri where he grew up playing sports. He went on to play Division 1 soccer for St. Louis University. During his tenure, they won the Atlantic 10 conference title and went to the NCAA National tournament almost every year. Dr. Newport’s athletic background continues to drive his interest in sports medicine and he takes pride in helping athletes not only recovery from injury, but prevent re-injury moving forward.
Dr. Newport places great emphasis on philanthropy and most recently served on a medical mission trip to Vietnam. Here he had the privilege of providing aid to the local population.

Amazing! I wanted to find a Podiatrist, went to Zocdoc and got in next day!
Sure, I had to get x rays prior to my visit, but Dr Newports staff contacted me and put in the order at the radiologist for me. I love that! Now, I don't enjoy Md Appts in general - But Dr. Newports office staff were super friendly and sweet (you get what you give) Spent very little time waiting, and the Dr. really listened to me and wanted to get my needs met. I didn't ever feel as if he was "In a rush" to get to the next patient. Definately found my foot Doc.
