Illona was extremely rude and impatient. Her communication style was very condescending and she was quick to rush me out of the door. She didn't want to answer any questions I had about birth control options. I have never felt more uncomfortable with a doctor in my life. Her office has also been unresponsive. I have called multiple times to follow up and no one answers.

I went to see Dr. Carlos for some irritation I had for a few weeks. I think I saw her for about less than 5 minutes. She was short and cold. Apparently there didn't seem to be any irritation, but I know what I felt. She acted as though I was wasting her time.
Honestly, I probably would've been better off not coming in and whatever I was dealing with probably would have gone away on it's own, but since it had been about 2-3 weeks, I felt like I should have it checked out. I would've appreciated a warmer reception, or at least felt like I wasn't wasting her or my time.

After scheduling ob/gyn visits to coincide with trips home to Baltimore, I finally found an ob/gyn I trust, thanks to a colleague's recommendation. I knew exactly what type of IUD I wanted due to extensive research and Dr. Carlos answered all of my questions and put my fears to rest. I look forward to my next visit!

She's incredibly knowledgable and covers a vast amount of information in a short period of time, try to keep up! I'm not sure if she was in a hurry because she was behind schedule or if she's just a fast efficient Doctor, I get the impression it is both. Either way she knows her stuff and I'm very confident in her abilities.

I went to Dr Carlos for a cyst issue. She instructed me that if it returned, I should contact her and she would schedule outpatient surgery. I did just that, and waited and waited and waited. I was so uncomfortable and never heard back from her. Finally, one of her nurses contacted me about a month later with a surgery date. I immediately declined and let her know how unprofessional Dr Carlos treated me, was not concerned about my issues and did not take the time to see how I was doing while waiting for a surgery date. I will never use this doctor again.

This doctor didn't seem to have much patience. Maybe she is a satisfactory doctor but her attitude towards new patients could be better improved and be more personal as the visit was cold and dry. She wanted to do things quickly and get out of there as fast as possible even without answering all of my questions. When she left the room I thought she was going to come back but never did. Eventually thanks to the nice people at the front desk I was able to get my questions answered and conclude my visit.

This place is pretty meh. I was trying to get an IUD, already had a consultation with my Primary Care Provider, and had to come in to Dr. Carlos' office for another consultation. I asked that they just call my PCP, who's in the SAME building, and save me a trip. They would not do that. So I took off work early to come in. I walk in and the receptionists are all sitting around on their cellphones. It took several moments for one of them to even notice I was there. Then, I had to provide my license, insurance card, and credit card for payment. In between the receptionist asking for one of these cards and me actually handing it to her, she stopped paying attention to me. So I'm sitting there, holding my cards out (this happened twice) while she's looking at her iPhone. After a 50 minute wait, I got in to see Dr. Carlos and she filled me in on basic IUD information, which I already got from my PCP. I had no questions and already knew the information, and she kept talking in a patronizing tone to me, as if I were a child. Lastly, she said it might be MONTHS before they can get the IUD that I need in stock. So i essentially said screw it, called Planned Parenthood, got it inserted that week, and had a wonderful experience there. Tldr: don't waste your time here - go to Planned Parenthood.

She's very straightforward, no small talk or fluff, which I don't mind, but could rub some people the wrong way. I appreciate the office because they will check with your insurance about coverage BEFORE scheduling you for a procedure, so you don't get trapped into paying for something you can't afford.
