Dr. Florence has worked as an attending anesthesiologist, a clinical assistant professor, and a director of a pain management program for medical students. Currently, he is the director of pain management service at a hospital and medical center, in which capacity he has served at several other facilities. Dr. Florence is a member of a number of professional organizations and is the director-at-large of the New York State Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, where he has been president for five years. Dr. Florence has functioned on several professional committees and is now on a cancer committee and a pain management committee. He has been involved in several research studies and a grant program. In addition, he has delivered 90 professional lectures.
