Went in to see Dr. Rehnstrom for my annual check-up. She called me into her office within 5 minutes of checking in, and she sat me down to go over history and questions first (which I loved). She also took all my vitals and blood samples herself. The exam was quick and painless, and I was out the door within a half hour of arriving. I would definitely return to her for future needs.

Dr Rehnstrom is a graduate of the University of Helsinki and completed her residency training at St. Lukes/Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan. Dr. Rehnstrom spent ten years delivering babies and doing gynecologic surgery before deciding to concentrate on office practice, her family and other interests: she is an active member of Physicians for Human Rights and aids victims of female genital mutilation in their applications for asylum in the U.S. She is also the President of Finland Center Foundation, a volunteer nonprofit organization for Finnish culture in New York. Professionally, she is interested in the care of the menopausal woman but welcomes medical challenges of women of all ages.

Went in for a routine check-up. She was quick, and direct. I felt like could have gone a little bit slower to ensure thoroughness and avoid the need for prompting by my questions. However when I raised questions she did address and asked further follow up.

Unfortunately, I was late so I thought the wait would be much longer, but it wasn't. I was seen within 10 minutes. Dr. Jaana was nice, fast, and to the point. She is very experienced, and proceeded with the initial meeting and exam within 15 minutes. I am healthy so I didn't require much attention. The office is up to date and I completed my information and copay payment on a touch screen pad. In and out of the office just like I like it.

I like her no-nonsense, practical attitude. She is also very quick with the exam, which is helpful as I hate the annual gyno exam, as most women do. There is nothing fun about having your feet in those stirrups! But she is in and out so quickly you barely notice it. It is impossible to be embarrassed as she is just so professional about it, which I prefer to the warm touchy-feely types.

Dr. Rehnstrom was highly competent, efficient and able to put me at ease. I appreciated that she was able to perform a number of needed annual health check ups in one appointment. I would recommend her to others, for quality of care. The location is also quite convenient.

Dr Rehnstrom is very cut-to-the-chase, which I appreciate. She is a good listener and attentive, but there were a few times I felt a disconnect. In the end, she didn't know how to help me and referred me to doctors who weren't in my field of need. That made me question a few things. Overall, she's clearly competent, nice and knowledgable. If you're an ordinary patient with ordinary needs, she is a great. I have a few complications and she was honest in not knowing what else to do with me.

She was very professional and thorough with the questions she asked about my medical history. I am the type of person that doesn't like taking medicine unless necessary. Therefore, the only thing I didn't like is that she immediately jumped to pills that I could potentially take. She was excellent in every other way.

Dr. Rehnstrom is very nice and has a calming effect. She isn't very warm or bubbly and tends to be focused. She does not indulge self-diagnosis and can be dismissive of fears or concerns. (Often this is a good thing!). I feel that something more might be wrong with me though, and she wasn't willing to explore the possibility.

I hate going to the gyno, even more than going to the dentist, but Dr Rehnstrom put me at ease upon first meeting her. She was very thorough with her post exam questions and then when it came to the worst part, exam time, it was quick. She was done before I knew she did anything. But I have to let you know even though it was fast, I did not feel rushed nor did I feel I got a subpar exam. I could tell it was because she has been doing this for a long time and knew what to look for. I will definitely keep her as my gynecologist and highly recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Rehnstrom is excellent -- she takes her work seriously but made me feel very well cared for. She did the entire checkup herself and didn't rely on nurses or other practitioners even for taking vitals. I didn't think her office staff was the *friendliest*, but what NYC doctor has friendly office staff??

I was sincerely disappointed with the quality of this visit. I did not feel like I was being treated as a patient, but like a car on an assembly line. GYN appointments are uncomfortable to begin with, but with a new doctor who is cold, they are worse. Dr. Rehnstrom seems highly competent and efficient, but I was disappointed with the interaction and having to change and be examined next to a window that I could clearly see into other buildings through.

She was very thorough and took time to spend with me to go over my history and issues. Many doctors don't give you more than 5 mins. She spent time with me in her office to discuss things and then conducted an exam. She was very professional. I would highly recommend her. Although, her front desk people could be more welcoming.
