About Dr. Kenneth Levey
Dr. Levey is a board certified gynecologist with a specialty focus in chronic pelvic pain, minimally invasive surgery, endometriosis, fibroids, abnormal bleeding and the management of abnormal pap smears. Dr. Levey is an expert in daVinci robotic surgery and endometriosis removal. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
He graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1997 and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2001.
He is currently a faculty member at NY Presbyterian/Weill-Cornell
Dr. Levey is an expert in robotic surgery. Additionally, he is an expert in the placement of the Essure device and other minimally invasive procedures that can be performed in the office, including Novasure.

I initially was pleased with Dr. Levey but I grew increasingly uneasy at how cavalier he was about using anesthesia on me when I told him about my past history. I ended up canceling my appointment for an in office surgery because I felt pushed into it. I am happy that I canceled it, but it took me a long time to get over the anxiety involved in feeling pushed into it. Nice enough guy, didn't seem to respect my concerns though.

I would recommend his office to anyone seeking ob/gyn services. The initial paperwork that is required as an initial patient is impressive because it inquires about many areas of a person's life, not just medical aspects. I liked to see the contact between him and his staff because some doctors lack that communication and seem rather impersonal.

I,personally, liked his casual manner and willingness to answer questions. I liked not being treated like an idiot and having a say in my own treatment.
I had a huge problem with my insurance and i found his staff to be friendly and helpful which served to keep me calm as i watched people with later appointments come and go over the 2.5 hours i waited to see the doctor. Once in with the doctor he was respectful of my time and moved things along in such a way that i didn't feel rushed yet got my needs taken care of promptly.
