WE PROVIDE INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT CLAIM FORMS BECAUSE MOST INSURANCE COMPANIES DO NOT COVER OUR EXTENSIVE AND INDIVIDUALIZED TREATMENT PLANS. ALSO PLEASE COMPLETE ALL FORMS PROVIDED PRIOR TO VISIT. Dr. J.D. Elder is a dedicated and diligent Internist practicing in the city Bethesda, MD. Dr. Elder attended George Washington University, where she received her medical degree. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Akron General Medical Center, and her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. Dr. Elder also holds a master’s degree from Howard University in Genetics and Human Genetics. Dr. Elder has also received further training in Functional Medicine and Integrative Medicine as well as Health and Wellness Coaching. She now practices with an integrative approach to health as she believes the whole person is important in maintaining and restoring optimal health.
Dr. Elder sees patients for a variety of reasons and especially those suffering from chronic illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, digestive issues, weight problems, hormonal imbalances, autoimmune disorders, low energy and sleep problems. She also counsels cancer patients on the various options available to them for treatment while supporting their journey to recovery and beyond. She holds professional memberships in the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Medical Association.
