Getting to know Jackie Joachim
Jackie is Board-Certified in both Family Practice and Psychiatric-Mental Health. She is a highly-skilled, compassionate, and solutions-oriented practitioner. Dedicated to providing exceptional care, Jackie recognizes the importance of establishing rapport and building trust with her patients as key in accomplishing treatment goals.
Jackie has been with American Behavioral Clinics since 2009 and has a total of over 25 years of experience in the health care field.
Jackie obtained her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She also holds a certificate from the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. Jackie completed her psychiatric clinical training here at American Behavioral Clinics with Dr. James Winston, who currently serves as her collaborating physician. She also has past hospice experience, working with grief issues.
In addition to her civilian experience, Jackie served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard for 10 years and was deployed during Desert Storm in 1991. Academically, she was elected to Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. She belongs to the American Psychiatric Nurse’s Association.

I booked through Zocdoc, uploaded my insurance information and arrived to my appointment 15 minutes early. They had no information regarding my appointment, and I subsequently rescheduled. I received a phone call later that day from their office stating this provider accepts my insurance BUT she does NOT want to take me as a patient. Waste of time, waste of gas and insulting.

I wish I would have found her 10 years ago! She has helped me more in the past 6 months than the numerous other psychiatric people I had seen did in 10 years. Not only has she been the biggest help of my life but she is also always on time :-)
