He then completed his Master?s in Nursing at Ohio University and achieved his PMHNP-BC certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Throughout his career, Lloyd has exclusively focused on psychiatric mental health treatment, continuously honing his skills to better serve his patients. Lloyd describes himself as positive, encouraging, kind, and understanding. His journey into mental health began during his first clinical rotation in nursing school, where he quickly realized many patients were underserved and often misunderstood. Witnessing caregivers who lacked the knowledge, compassion, and expertise to provide necessary care, Lloyd felt compelled to make a difference. His dedication to psychiatric mental health has been recognized by Mercy Hospital, where he was nominated three times for their highest awards for excellence in care. Lloyd believes the therapeutic relationship, like any other, requires nurturing, trust, time, and work. He provides clients with insights into their challenges, empowering them to develop solutions and improve interpersonal relationships. Lloyd uses humor to ease tension during sessions and values client feedback, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Beyond clinical practice, Lloyd?s commitment to mental health extends into his role as an ordained pastor for over 20 years. His church, with help from community partners, operates a pantry providing food to over 250 families monthly.
