James J. Bouzoukis, MD is a board certified Otolaryngologist. Dr. Bouzoukis specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the ears, nose and sinuses. Originally from Delaware, he received a BS from Duke University in Neuroscience in 1989. He then worked at Georgetown University researching spinal cord and nerve injury prior to entering medical school at Tulane University on a merit scholarship. At Tulane, he received multiple awards and honors, and graduated first in his medical school class in 1995. Dr. Bouzoukis pursued his postgraduate training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the prestigious University of Illinois at Chicago Eye and Ear Infirmary. He subsequently joined a single specialty group in suburban Chicago. While in practice, Dr. Bouzoukis benefited from his association with the practice's founder Dr. Nikhil Bhatt, internationally renown lecturer and author on sinusitis. After many years in Chicago, Dr. Bouzoukis and his wife, Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr. Kelly Bomer, realized their dream of opening a practice in Arizona in 2004. During the planning phase and construction of their state-of-the-art office complex, Dr. Bouzoukis worked at Lyster Army Hospital in Fort Rucker, Alabama, which needed an Otolaryngologist during the Iraq war.
Dr. Bouzoukis is a compassionate, well-trained physician. He is on staff at Scottsdale Healthcare-Shea and the Surgry Center of Scottsdale.
