Most relevant
While they do try to help you here, it seems the office might not have much experience with insurance. They were very good at drawing blood for testing. However they seem to be confused about annual preventive care exams. Annual exams are completely free. The doctor seemed like he was in a rush and not looking to explain details

This doctor didn’t listen to me and kept giving me very obvious suggestions that I’ve already tried or don’t even apply to me. I explained this to him and did not feel heard.

Doctor visit was very strange. He seemed unclear on what an “annual preventative check up” should entail and basically just took my blood pressure and asked me about lifestyle.
The highlight was having a man over 65 lecture me on the regularity of my menstrual cycle… honestly pretty comical.
Also he was discussing billing with me directly, telling me my insurance would not pay for the visit. I had to tell him exactly the language he needed to use to bill “preventative care”.
The nurse was lovely though.

Judgmental and condescending. Also asked for specific details of a childhood trauma then moved on to other questions. Felt as if he was just checking a box. Also felt uncomfortable re his method of examination. Would not recommend to anyone especially if they are a recovering alcoholic or addict.
