She was personable and thorough and obviously expert. She joked with me while checking my skin and then would bark out the location of the mole and the kind it was in between breaths to the nurse. I was nervous for my skin screening because it was my first one. She immediately put me at my ease. This is the first doctors appointment ever where I left happy. Also they’re being extremely cautious about Covid. You won’t catch it in her office.

Dr. Janet Lin graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to earn her medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She then completed her internship at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland and her dermatology residency at the University of Rochester.
Upon completion of her training, Dr. Lin worked at Mercy Medical Center where she became involved in community education and outreach. She has sponsored several American Academy of Dermatology SPOTme skin cancer screenings, appeared in multiple WBAL11 and Fox45 Baltimore news segments, has been featured in interviews for media outlets such as WebMD, and given teaching lectures for residents in training as well as her primary care colleagues.
Dr. Lin grew up in Rockville, MD and is a proud Wootton Patriot. She is excited to be back in her hometown where her family and close friends still reside. In her spare time, she is an avid traveler and reader.
Dr. Lin is a board certified dermatologist and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Maryland Dermatologic Society.

Today was my first time seeing Dr. Lin. The office is very clean and the staff are friendly. They checked my temperature before I came in and was very organized. Off the bat, when I encountered Dr. Lin, she was very kind, thoughtful, and willing to educate me. I saw her today for hair loss and she was really willing to meet me where I was. I got a wonderful first impression and looking forward to seeing her again in the next few months!

Appointment went great and Doctor Janet Lin was extremely helpful and friendly DURING the appointment. However, when I showed up to the pharmacy to pick up the medication I was prescribed I learned that my insurance didn’t cover it. My pharmacist and I have been trying to reach doctor Lin for an alternative medication for about a week now but NO luck in getting a return call. We have left multiple messages and nothing. I find this to be absolutely unacceptable. This is not how you take care of your patients. If you want a doctor that cares about you look elsewhere.
