Dr.Harounian was very attentive and was knowledgeable in the area where my leg hurt. The office staff was nice, but I fell like because it's optum and the're a big corporation. It made my visit feel like I was going to McDonald's rather than a doctors office. That being said Dr. Harounian did an excellent job and if she had a private practice I would definitely visit.

Jasmin Harounian, MD is a fellowship-trained, board-certified Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine Physician. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, Irvine, completed her internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and finished both her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and fellowship in Sports Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Harounian specializes in the diagnosis and non-operative management of spine and musculoskeletal injuries. She aims to restore function, decrease pain, and improve patients' quality of life.
Dr. Harounian uses a wide array of treatments, from medication management and physical therapy exercise prescription to peripheral injections and musculoskeletal ultrasound, which evaluates soft tissues and joints in real time to better understand pain causes. Her interventional spine procedures include fluoroscopic (X-ray)-guided cervical, thoracic, and lumbar injections, medial branch blocks, and radiofrequency ablations.
She is a member of professional organizations including AAPM&R, AMSSM, and AAP. She held a nationally elected position as the PM&R Representative on the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine Council and has worked with athletes from weekend warriors to USA Fencing Olympians. Dr. Harounian has served as a clinical textbook editor and authored chapters in *A Case-Based Approach to Shoulder Pain*, *Essential Sports Medicine*, and *Telemedicine for the Musculoskeletal Exam*. Her clinical and research interests include regenerative medicine, sports injuries, female athletes, innovations in interventional spine procedures, and concussion protocols.

The visit was fine but the front desk woman was very unfriendly. They try to streamline the documentation and send it in advance and then you still have more documents to fill out when you get there. Was definitely over the top. I made an appointment for pain associated to a sports collision and the nurse sent me for an x-ray without even seeing the doctor which I didn’t think was right but I’ve never experienced a pain like this before so I didn’t question that approach. Then the doctor comes in and says “yea it’s probably just a bone bruise” give it another 4-6 weeks. Felt like a was waste of time and money.
