“The appointment went well, everyone in the office from front desk, to x-ray technician, to assistants to the doctor were personable and put my son at ease. However, the office did not have his appointment on their schedule, this seems to be a common occurrence with ZocDoc. ”

“Doctor Pope was very accommodating and had a lovely bedside manner. I will NOT use zocdoc again because of the way I was embarrassed in the waiting room. Plus, I’m upset with zoc doc for not keeping The appointment that I made with them. The doctor did not have any evidence of my appointment and most importantly, I needed to see an orthopedic surgeon because I was having so much pain after an auto accident.”

Super friendly staff everyone made me feel comfortable especially with dealing a problematic situation. Overall great experience 10/10
Complete bait and switch. All Kayal docs, including Dr Kayal himself with his bowtie have tons of appointments uploaded on Zocdoc that aren’t even available. You make the apt for a specific time and then the office calls you and tells you that the apt was a “request” and even though a time slot was seemingly open. I made an apt that was open for 4 30 only to be told that “we don’t do patient apts at 4 30”. Feels like a factory.

Was very pleased with both the Dr. And staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend calling for an appointment and not making it online. It booked my appointment but didn’t actually make it. That was very frustrating, however I would definitely recommend Dr. Pope.
Verified patient
Dr. Pope was really nice and attentive to my issues. Only issue I had was their Zoc Doc process, the appointment was never confirmed and I ended up with no appointment and going to the wrong office. I would recommend calling them once you setup your zoc doc appointment and keep calling until you speak to someone. Thankfully, they took me at the other office, however I spent the entire morning driving around and waiting. Beautiful office and overall everyone was really helpful and nice.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Pope. He did a great job explaining to my daughter and I exactly what was going on and how to best treat it. He was thorough, with a nice bedside manner, and very willing to answer questions. The office staff was amazing everybody greeted us with a smile.

I am used to waiting at least 20 minutes in an office sometimes even longer. As a new pt. they had all my paperwork in order and I was seen on Time!!! Everyone was very nice and it was easy to set up my follow up appt.
Verified patient
Dr Pope was amicable, professional and explained well my condition and the possibilities for dealing with my situation….. I was more than satisfied.
Dr. Pope is an excellent medical professional who makes one feel at ease at a time when one is facing a difficult and painful moment. I appreciate him taken the time to identify the problem by performing necessary tests that will lead to a diagnosis. He listens and addresses ones concerns. Thank you Dr. Pope Esther

I have no doubt he knows what he is doing. But he has a tendency to talk down to patients which annoys me. I’m an engineer so I understand tech speak. In addition, I felt as though he was selling me services I might not need yet, with his connected associates (phy therapy eg). I need an mri, which I know, and I refused to go to his practice’s which is not in my network. He did work with me, giving me a script to a place covered by my insurance, but after a brief sell period, which, if I were not already savvy to how it works, would have cost me a LOT in deductible unnecessarily. His staff are awesome.

My visit was great! Please make sure you call them to confirm your appt because zoc doc doesnt sync with their scheduling. Also, double check that your insurance will cover him. Zoc doc stated that he accepts my insurance, but I later learned he was out of network. Despite all of that, Dr Pope was by far one of the BEST doctors I’ve ever seen. He listened to me, and explained everything in detail. I will continue to see him (even though i will have to pay more since he is out of network)

We waited 90 minutes because they said ZocDoc does not sync with their system. They had no appointment time available for us. They asked that we never use Zocdoc again because the appointments that Zocdoc posts as available are not really available! Doctor Pope is great. Your service appears to be a hoax.
It went very well.

PATIENT BEWARE of this Doctor's office, Kayal Orthopedic Center. I almost never post feedback online of any kind -- let alone negative feedback -- but I have had such a terrible experience with this office that I felt compelled to make sure that other unsuspecting patients don't fall for the same misleading and dishonest business practices that I fell for. A few months ago, upon inputting my health insurance information into Zocdoc to search for an Orthopedist, Kayal Orthopedic popped up on the list as being "In-Network" for me. Once I booked an appointment with Kayal, they called me and told me that they are actually Out-Of-Network, but that they would still take me as a patient and they would agree to just run my insurance through my Out-Of-Network benefits, and wouldn't bill me anything beyond what my In-Network co-pay was. I agreed to this, and went in to see Dr. Pope the next day. He referred me to get an MRI at the MRI place right next door to his, in the same building. I assumed that they wouldn't refer me to an MRI place KNOWING my whole situation and that I was Out-Of-Network, but about a month after getting my MRI, I received a very large bill from the MRI facility. When I called both the MRI place and Kayal Orthopedic to get this resolved, Kayal apologized profusely, acknowledged that I was "200% right," and that they would speak with the MRI facility and take care of everything for me. Well, the next month I received another bill from the MRI facility for the same amount. Obviously, it wasn't taken care of, as promised. When I called Kayal Orthopedic back (repeatedly), my calls were ignored and I was avoided for weeks. After several weeks of unsuccessful attempts, they finally called me back to let me know that they had "tried" to fix the situation, but that they were unsuccessful. Kayal has refused to follow through with their promise to take care of the MRI bill, even though I could have easily gone to an In-Network MRI facility for free. As I understand it, Kayal routinely does this to MANY of their patients, as they told me in a moment of candor that they actually make out "better" financially doing business this way. Additionally, on a clinical level, when I went back in to see Dr. Pope and review my MRI results, I asked if I could see the MRI results myself. He explained that I couldn't, as it wouldn't be understandable by a non-physician. The following month, when I took my MRI results to another doctor, they showed me my MRI on the computer screen without my even asking, and pointed out exactly what the problem area was. If you are considering an Orthopedic doctor, I would recommend that you stay away from Kayal Orthopedic Center. Josh B.

Staff was very pleasant. Dr. Pope was excellent. Very clear in his explanation of his plan for treatment. Great disposition, willing to listen.

The doctor was very pleasant and explained all needed to improve my bum knee's and hips. Went over the x ray first and should me the bone on bone areas. Explained and advised to me, if I am not in severe pain, do nothing and take Advil for pain, I explained because of my high blood pressure, I could not take a lot of Advil, so he advised me to loose the weight and walk more. I just went today, and was advised an MRI would be needed to determine how much soft tissue damage was in the knee. I very much felt comfortable after I left the office.

Zoc Doc did not work. If it is not activated to their scheduling system, then why give me the opportunity to schedule an appointment?
Dr. Pope was awesome. I was seen right away, bright and early and wasn't rushed at all. He had awesome bedside manner, and thoroughly evaluated the issues I was having on both my hip and shoulder. By far the most comprehensive visit I've had and I'm so glad I went. Highly recommend!

Incredibly impressed with the Dr and his staff.
Very knowledgeable and pleasant. Gave me plenty of time to go over all the details and to ask questions. Very happy with him, and I will refer friends to his office.
Dr. Pope's office was very nice with modern equipment. The staff called me in advance to verify my insurance information, and they saw me the same day. The doctor spent time explaining my issue, how he was treating it, and what to expect. Great service!
