Dr. Deviney is a South Texas native, growing up in the towns of Alice and Freer. He received his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University in 1994 and graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2000. Upon graduation, he practiced in Kingwood, Texas working his way to Clinical Director of the Kingwood Vision Source Laser Center. After nine years there, his family moved to Keene, New Hampshire to join a practice but missed Texas too much and is now back closer to home.
Dr. Deviney’s specialties include contact lenses, refractive surgery co-management, glaucoma management, ocular disease treatment, and treatment of binocular vision abnormalities that may cause reading comprehension problems in patients of all ages.
He is currently a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the Ocular Nutrition Society, the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He has also been on advisory panels for Allergan pharmaceuticals and contributed to articles in Optometry Times.

Dr. Jason Deviney was by far the best optometrist I’ve ever been to. The office, staff, experience, and service was all top notch. I don’t think I’ve ever felt as confident walking out of an appointment before. The entire time Dr. Deviney communicated well and actually seemed concerned with getting my yearly vision check done right. Make this place your go to for vision needs.

Well run practice with courteous and professional staff. Didn't feel rushed at all. Both of my visits I was seen EXACTLY at my appt time with no wait. Also you don't get the pressure sell to buy your contacts from them like many offices do.

My appointment could not have gone better. I provided most of my information online when I booked my appointment, so check-in went very quickly, even as a brand new patient. The exam was incredibly thorough, and I appreciated that both the staff and Dr. Deviney took the time to explain everything and answer any questions I had.
I switched doctors from my previous OD, hoping for a more convenient appointment process, and got exactly what I wished for. Thank you!

First time patient. Found his office by using Zocdoc.com. Jason Deviney was the first name to appear with 4.5 stars. My appointment was scheduled at 9am and I was seen at 9am. Jason Deviney took the time to ask me questions and explain what he was doing and why he was doing it. It's always nice to be informed. He suggested the best product and also informed me of rebates being offered. Who doesn't want to save money? His staff was great and he was great! I'd definitely recommend.

Do you hate when doctors come in and do what they need to do without a sneering your questions? Well Dr. Deviney is NOT one of those doctors! He thoroughly answered all questions I had, went into detail regarding the problems with my contacts and showed me in depth the results of my retina scan (highly recommend this). My first time visiting Dr. Deviney, was very impressed not only with him but his whole staff. The Dr. walked me the results of the different eye exams they conduct. I felt they had a very wide selection of frames considering cost and styles. His staff was very patient and accommodating in helping me pick out frames and were able to help me get the most out of my eyeglass benefit. I will most definitely will be coming back to vision source for any future needs.
