I’ve gone to several dermatologists in my life. I’ve had several mohs surgeries. Dr Lockridge and his team have been the best by far! They are professional and are very personable. I’m never nervous about going to my appointments.
I love getting a good check up on my skin! I am outside a lot and have fair skin so skin cancer is always peeking at me!

Board-certified in dermatology, Dr. Jason Lockridge earned a medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts and completed his residency and internship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Additionally, he completed a fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Lockridge is a skilled Mohs surgeon with a special interest and expertise in cosmetic, surgical, and medical dermatology. Prior to joining Water’s Edge Dermatology, Dr. Lockridge was the owner, president, and lead physician of the Alabama Skin Institute. Dr. Lockridge is a fellow of the American Society of Mohs Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and past president of the Alabama Dermatology Society.

I hold Dr. Lockridge in the highest regard and would recommend him without hesitation. As a stage 4 melanoma survivor for 15 years, I choose Dr. Lockridge primarily because of his education and Fellowship training last October to review a suspicious spot on my shoulder. He, given my background, took the time to weigh all aspects of treatment and biopsied the spot. It was indeed a melanoma and his biopsy was sufficiently deep enough that the wide area surgery revealed no margins. Dr. Lockridge is someone you want on your side. Ed Tighe

I am not from this area and didn't know which practice to go to, but I looked up my insurance online and this office was included in my network so I went there. I was able to fill out all my forms online, which was very convenient, and they accepted BOTH of my health insurance providers. On the day of my appointment they checked me in right away, and then took me a few minutes BEFORE my appointment time! The assistant came in to find out why I was there, and totally understood the situation. I heard her explaining it immediately to the doctor, who then came right into the examination room. After a short discussion we decided on a method of treatment for my problem. The treatment was done quickly and efficiently, and was given instructions as to how to proceed. Payment was just a small copay required by my insurance. Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful. This visit was short and sweet and I would HIGHLY recommend this practice for any dermatology needs.
