About Geraldine Emanuel

Gerry Emanuel is a board-certified nurse practitioner (APRN) and a dermatology-certified nurse practitioner (DCNP). She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, and began her nursing career at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. After moving to Florida, Gerry practiced at Martin Memorial Health Systems in Stuart in various capacities, including ICU, supervising and outpatient surgery. After receiving a scholarship by Martin Memorial to advance her education, Gerry earned a master’s degree in nursing and a family nurse practitioner certification from Florida Atlantic University. After losing her father to melanoma, Gerry decided to specialize in dermatology. With several years of prior medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology practice, Gerry joined Water’s Edge Dermatology in 2004. She enjoys the autonomy of being a nurse practitioner and appreciates the availability of Dr. Schiff to assist with the more complicated cases. Gerry also enjoys serving as a mentor to other nurses who want to advance their careers. Gerry is a native New Yorker with three children, one of whom has plans to follow in her footsteps.

Very obvious I was an item in a production line.... could not get a written prescription as she was already with another patient performing a procedure and could not remove her sterile gloves to sign the prescription. The recommended products were not available either.

My first experience with Water's Edge Dermatology was a true pleasure. The gals out front were very friendly and outgoing while being helpful and understanding. Gerry Emanuel, the Nurse Practitioner, and Christine, her nurse assistant, continued the warm and cheerful mannerisms while explaining the procedure, completing the exam and discussing her findings. Overall it was a great experience, so it will be a pleasure going back in 6 months.
Friendly staff. On time appointments
Their wait time is no more than five minutes before you are called to be seen, everyone are so nice, professional, care for the patients. The office is extremely clean at all times. Geraldine is very patient, listens to your concerns, very knowledgeable and take her time explaining every details needed
